We stopped here for coffee and dessert, the place is a bit old and needs to be cleaned and dusted, in general the restaurant is cozy, there are only three tables inside but more seating is available outside, but if you stay outside be prepared to smell smoking or weed from people passing by. We ordered Expresso and sweet bread, the coffee was really good and the bread was okay, not really amazing, lots of pictures on the wall from famous people, specially Jeni Rivera, but this area is dirty and definitely should be cleaned.The restroom is clean and lots of free parking is available.

The food and drink were amazing. I got chilaquiles and a cajeta iced coffee. The wait time was not bad at all. They even brought my food to my table outside. The ladies working there were nice. Although, I will say that I asked for my food "for here" and it was still served in a box. Not a big deal because I was alone. However, I did notice a family in front of me sitting down waiting for their food and their food was also served in boxes. Again, not a huge deal to me because I was alone but if I went with family plates would have been nice not sure if they offer plates. All in all, I'd definitely go back.

It's ok small place friendly staff! I got a cafe de olla not impressed NOT freshly brewed either! I would not get again I also got a chorizo burrito and it was more like an egg burrito! I don't think I will ever wake up and say I want to go eat to cafe canela! It's a big no for me !
