This restaurant is currently in my top faves, for sure. Not only was the food exceptional, but Chef Abe Mota kept bringing out extra sauce & asking if there was anything else we needed. He & his family have a gem with this one. Everything was top tier & the tortillas?! Heavenly. The best I’ve ever had…period. Mexican food wasn’t even in my favorite cuisine list until trying Las Ahogadas. You have to try the Tacos De Canasta, Birria Cheese Bowl, & Torta Ahogada. When I say GOOD?! GOOD-T!!!!!!!!!!!! What are you waiting for?! GO!Parking: Another thing I absolutely love is that there IS plenty of parking. When parking is difficult, it causes me to not want to even visit a place. So that was indeed a bonus. And Plaza Mexico is beautiful, too. Thumbs up!

Waited 30 minutes to get soggy, cold food. I asked for no onions on my food but received extra onions on my plate. I didn't have a bottom bun on my sandwich.

We had breakfast at this place.We tried the tacos de barbacoa suaves, dorados and the barba-queso; also, each order came with a consomé, these are so good. The view from the second floor is a plus+.We arrived early on a Saturday, they were just opening so the place was empty but by the time we were leaving it started to get busy and the dinning area was getting packed too.Prices are very reasonable.

TERRIBLE! DONT WASTE YOUR TIMEThis place used to be good until a new person was in charge, there is never tortas ahogadas, we come at 10am and they only serve around 10 people or less, and after that they don't have any more until 12pm-1:30pm. We tried coming at a later time 11:30am and still NOTHING. The ladies in there are very lazy and rude hopefully they replace the staff especially who ever is in charge should be changed asap. If you want to go here I highly recommend you go to Tortas ahogadas in Huntington park not here! Everything is horrible especially the service. Tortas ahogadas el rey at Huntington Park is very friendly and serves quick.
