We had dinner there last night, and I was pleasantly surprised. It seems very hard to find really good restaurants and good food these days. The atmosphere is very romantic. We got a table in the back and met a really nice couple sitting in the corner next to us. They were here from South Africa. I like how the tables are set up like they are in other countries, mainly Europe, encouraging people to talk to each other at neighboring tables. The very friendly servers immediately bring warm, soft bread with a bit of seasoning and a perfect, crisp crust. You can spread it with a delicious olive tapenade. My son had a rib eye, and I had the Bu Burger with sweet potato fries. I think it was one of the best burgers I've ever had in Malibu. I love the presentation of the fries, too. They come out in one those paper funnels in a stand, also, very European. We both enjoyed our meals immensely and even shared a bit with our new friends and impromptu dining companions. The portions are just exactly right, not too large, so as to turn you off, and not too small, just right, as it should be. We really don't need those supersized portions. They are just not good for our health. Anyway, we did get a dessert each. My son got the crême brulée, and I got a dark chocolate dessert cake that came warm, was topped with blueberries and had some vanilla ice cream on the side. You have to put a bit of each on the spoon for a perfect bite that's warm and cold at the same time. It was just sooooo delicious! I don't remember what it was called, but it was good and, again, just the right amount for a perfect dessert. We left very happy and satisfied without feeling bloated or stuffed. We hope to go back soon. I highly recommend this lovely, little magical place.

If you haven't been to Ciel Orange yet, I encourage you to get there! My friend brought me here for my birthday. I had a yummy quinoa creation and my friend had a beautiful spinach salad and a shrimp appetizer They brought me an orange sherbet (dairy free) for my birthday dessert. The Chef here is one of the best! Something for everyone.

Surprisingly amazing food!! And delivered by the owner, Wilfredo. The staff are beyond excellent (Ethan, Eduardo and Francisco) and the food will not disappoint, esp the Dover sole deboned table side and the bone in rib eye. In addition, the owner makes table side ice cream! Fully stocked bar as well. They also own Juju two doors down, I and I'm sure the matcha tiramisu is amazing.

First time trying and it did not disappoint. Michael our server, was one of the best I've ever had. Incredibly patient, informative and kind. He helped us picked some great dishes and was attentive. Making sure we were comfortable and enjoyed our food. When he recommended food he liked, it was sincere and you could tell he truly enjoyed it. When the computer said no steak frites, he went to the back to check because he knew I wanted it and he delivered! We ordered: Tuna cocktail appetizer The apple tartine Mary's chicken Steak frites It's nice to finally have a good place in Malibu with live music on Wednesday's! We will be back!

Excellent!! Good food, service, and atmosphere. Unfortunately they are having phone service problems so if they don't answer please go anyway, easy to get a table. We had the burgers. Delicious prime. The bartender, Ethan, was a gem and really knew how to mix a drink. Wilfredo, the owner, was there to greet and welcome you to his great restaurant. We're calling it our go to restaurant for a family feeling.

A solid place to eat. As any place in Malibu it is a little pricey. The Alfredo was good, nothing special but the grilled shrimp were fantastic. Service was above par. Pleasant overall dinner experiwnce

I am desperate for a place with high quality food, drinks and vibe here on the Point. Unfortunately they've missed the mark again. We reaaaally miss the Dive, and now miss Thaia - which we looked forward to getting each week on date night. If you put the duck dive burger and fries and a couple of the Thaia dishes on the menu we'd be here every week just for that. The vibe is not great and the bar/beer list is worse than an applebees. Please up your bar/beer/wine game. We tried many things and they all were unimaginative and poorly executed (thick patty, soggy flatbread due to moisture - the flatbread should be grilled on both sides then baked with toppings to prevent the fresh mozzarella and tomatoes from soaking the bread for one example.) I wish management (who is very lovely) would really sit down and assess the food and rethink the menu of what worked in the past and brought locals in- a cold beer and a good burger, etc. With some changes we would look forward to dining here each week as in the past. Between us we have 60 + years on the point and would happily provide constructive feedback to keep the restaurant open and successful.

Superb food and service. I have never been so well taken care of by wait staff before. Everyone was so kind and on top of refills, bringing out bread and a ciabatta starter, and making sure I was enjoying my meal. Incredible staff, I would highly recommend checking this place out!
