I ordered clam chowder, it taste good but just a couple pieces of clams in it at $ 13 , wow I didn’t order potato chowder, I ordered clam chowder very disappointing. Specially, at the price. We’re just a few pieces of clam in it. First time I order there last time.

I ordered a pastrami sandwich that only had a few slices of meat. Paid $11. I also ordered a brisket which they put on regular wheat bread instead of a roll.

I like this place for a quick meal. The sandwiches are delicious and the sourdough is tasty. The prices are a little on the higher side. The inside is clean and the service is quick. Much better place to grab a sandwich than the other places in the area.

I am from San Francisco but staying here in Manteca temporarily with friends until we sell our home. I was craving a Sourdough crunchy sandwich and looked it up and found this gem! Although not quite a San Francisco rustic sourdough bread, this was a darn good tasty sandwich that was paired with outstanding customer service. Ok so the young guy taking orders is still rough around the edges, it all balanced out well! My sandwich was eagerly and promptly delivered to my table, and it was tasty!! I ordered a Turkey/Jack sandwich and I asked for it to be toasted. It was extra yummy because the jalapeño pepper add a nice bite. I order the small 4" and was able to save the other half for later. Another huge plus was that as I was wrapping it up, the sandwich maker left his counter to give me a to go bag! How did he know? And the other worker wished me a good day as I left. Truly respectful, courteous and polished service plus a pretty good and tasty sandwich. Yes I plan to come back!

The food quality is fresh and very good. The price is a little on the high side but considering the quality I think it is in line and reasonable. The workers were quiet but accommodating. The bread was fresh and tasty. The store was clean and organized. Clean bathrooms.

The cashier after taking my cash. (Wearing black gloves) walk over and started making my sandwich. When I said something he said he changed gloves. I said no actually I did not take my eyes off you so that's not true. (At this point I wanted to give him a shovel because he was just contouring to bury himself. He then said after strike 2 . Oh was I suppose to change them out after each customer? Sigh again! So strike 3 . I said how long have you been working here. (Here's a bigger shovel) he said oh I just started! ( another untruth) I then turned and ask another employee how long had he been here and they said 6 months. So I said to him "so another lie? Sigh! And here's the kicker .. after all that I realized he wasn't makin my sandwich!!
Attempted to have lunch there yesterday. Sadly had to toss my $11 in the trash along with a hairy sandwich

Our first time there. Here is our experience...[[Parking]]Shared with many other stores. Today was busy, I think there was a baseball game, and it was break time for the team. Very close to the sports complex.[[Environment]]Workers are extremely nice. Tables and floors look really clean. Also they have one restroom, which also looked clean.Food is ordered at register. If you eat in (which we did), they bring the food to your table.[[Food Experience]]My first bite of my sandwich... you can definitely taste the freshness of the sourdough bread. Crisp on the outside, and super soft on the inside.The clam chowder in the bowl was surprisingly and extremely delicious. I really was expecting it to be something bland, but it was full of flavor AND paired really good with the fresh sourdough bowl. YUM!My daughter ordered Mac N Cheese. She said it was ok until she paired it with the tomato bisque soup (from my sandwich combo order). She fell in love with this pairing and gobbled up all the tomato bisque soup.[[Overall]]We are definitely coming back.

The staff was polite. The food came out fast, hot and fresh. The meat was bland. My French dip au jus lacked flavor. Sourdough bread was good but didn't blend well with the au jus. Muted flavors. Maybe the horseradish mayo was the problem. Not quite sure. Still the food was served fresh and hot.
