We did a fun family bike ride and zipped past the diners at UOVO overlooking the marina. On the way back, the fam voted for a pasta lunch. So glad we did! We've seen UOVO restaurants all over the place from Santa Monica to Studio City, but always relegated it as a chain pasta place. Our apologies. This place is legit. The amatriciana dish was spectacular with the crispy bits of pork in a tasty, subtly spicy red sauce and perfectly cooked pasta. The vongole was good, but I've had a lot of great vongoles in my years and this one didn't have the strong seafood flavor I like. Still, it was great especially when I mixed in the mind-blowing mushrooms we ordered as a side. I'm not the biggest mushroom fan, but these things are next level. Beyond the food, the staff was attentive and welcoming. They're dog friendly, btw. They immediately brought our guy a big bowl of water. As far as ambiance, how can you beat a view of water and boats on a beautiful, sunny day. We're huge fans and we'll definitely be back. I think we'll time it to have a sunset meal next visit!

DO NOT GO HERE. They lied and told us it would be 30min wait and the host messed up and put us under the wrong number of people. We ended up waiting an 1 hour 30mins. We were celebrating a special occasion. No apology, just "it happens".

BEWARE!!!! Cold food I was really looking forward to trying this place after seeing some positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience fell flat--literally cold flat. We ordered several dishes, all of which arrived at our table lukewarm at best. It's disappointing when you're served cold food that's meant to be enjoyed hot. This not only took away from the flavors but also made our dinner less enjoyable. I mentioned it to the server, hoping for a quick fix, but the response was lackluster, with no offer to reheat the meals or provide a solution. Safe to say, I won't be returning or recommending this place. Such a letdown when you're excited about a new dining experience! I would also like to say the manager Juan that was on duty was very rude. He claims his pasta is very fresh, but would not admit that my pasta was definitely sitting around for 20 minutes before it was served to me . We literally waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive and the place was not even that busy. I think they flat out just forgot about us. And All Juan did was come up with the excuses and wants to argue with me. Instead of offering me a resolution. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!

Food: I mean...cheese wheel pasta. Enough said. Beautifully made and some dishes are downright decadent. I highly recommend the tasting menus - a great selection of dishes on each list and it's a good way to try a range. Last time I was there, I did a tasting menu, and then ordered the tagliatelle to go. Access: doesn't take reservations for small parties. They're usually able to accommodate sets of 2 at the bar, but I recommend arriving on the earlier end like 5/6 otherwise there may be a longer wait. Parking is available but gets packed. Lovely view from the restaurant of the Marina, but a high traffic area so be prepared for lots of passers-by. Service: There is a manager guy who has been there all three times I've visited, and he is very sociable, nice, welcoming, and I appreciate that he has an opinion on most if not all the dishes (can guide asks for recs). The rest of the staff has consistently been nice, attentive, and accommodating.

A lovely restaurant on the water, which I adored for date night. Service was nice, and it was definitely popular on a Saturday night! We thought the pasta was good, but our palettes were looking for a bit more complexity in the dishes. I forgot exactly what we got, but one of the dishes was a pasta made of clam sauce. This piqued our interest, but we were a bit disappointed in the taste, as it seemed to have lacked something else. We ordered a side of mushrooms, which were hands down absolutely delicious. We added those mushrooms to our pasta and it made the dishes a tad more enjoyable for our liking. You gotta try their mushroom dish! The pasta itself was yummy - not too soggy not too undercooked.

Delicious fresh pasta and a superb view on the Marina! Service was great too. It's worth the wait.

Came here on a Friday night around 7:30 and waited about 30 minutes for a table. I love the view of the marina right outside the restaurant. My friend had a nut allergy and couldnt eat any of the pastas with meat in it because they were cooked in peanut oil. We ended up ordering the carbonara, pomodoro, and broccolini. The carbonara was very good and I recommend trying it. The pastas were very well made (they said their pasta comes fresh from italy) but were a bit simple.

Probably the best UOVO location! We came here around 6pm on a weekend, and had to wait about 40 minutes before seating. Not bad considering how busy other locations can get. I once was told a 2 hour wait at the Pasadena location - no thank you! Uovo MDR location wins in that it's right by the harbor, and you can see a beautiful sunset if you sit outside. We were able to catch the sunset while enjoying some dang good food. What we liked most about uovo is that their pasta don't make you feel disgustingly full, like some other restaurants do. The serving sizes are smaller than your average American restaurant, but that helps with portion control, or if you want to try more variety. My baseline is always to try a carbonara and it was amazing. We also loved the arrabiata and ravioli di ricotta. They often have off the menu specials, so make sure you chat with your server and see what they recommend!

Comice eh delicio Italiano. We also took a chance with the UOVO restaurant for some good pasta and ragu. I got the Ragu plate with some garlic bread and good carbonara. Was our first time here and I enjoyed sitting out by the water and ocean. Menu choices are unbelievable as you walk inside and place your orders with family. I love it here, and we had a cool waiter too. I will be back.

I don't wanna be a hater but the beautiful view and friendly staff are the best parts of this place. The pasta was okay, it took over an hour for my party (2) to sit. You can't make changes to anything (like not even extra parm or red peppers, and at those prices why can't I get what I want). Maybe I'm being too picky tho, definitely give it a try!
