Everything about this restaurant is fine. Food is as expected, the bar tender is amazing..makes strong drinks. Only issue is the guests. Remember this is in Martinez and guests can be very white...and racist...be aware. There are regulars who think they own this place and will treat you like crap.
La Tapatia in downtown Martinez is a gem worth discovering. As soon as you arrive, you're greeted with complimentary bean dip, chips, and salsa - a delightful start to your dining experience. 1st time there but disappointed in food quality. The carne asada fajitas were tough and chewy. The entree was 75% peppers and onions. Rice was basic. The restaurant was filling up quick and hope the other customers got better results. I will try again but have a feeling that thier quality will be the same. I am mexican-american and have had great Mexican food throughout the eastbay. Again, service was great drinks good so we'll see next time
