“After walking along the coast all day, how could you not want to settle down with comfort food, stout beer on tap, and an incredible berry cobbler? We were lucky and got to try some of the oysters that had just been pulled out of Humboldt Bay that same day. The atmosphere was perfect for a coastal pub setting.“

“The Mendocino Cafe has been a stable staple of dining on the coast for as long as I can remember. It has a cool fusion of foods to tantalize your culinary pallet to take you to another level of appreciation. The atmosphere there is very relaxing as the staff are always looking after your needs while not hovering, that hasn’t changed since the turn of the century. When you can get in, their outdoor dining is one of the prettiest spots on the coast. Lush greenery surrounds you as do views where you can people watch; a true joy. We had the burger which was cooked perfectly and the Thai burrito, which has always been my go to, make sure you try the sweet Asian chili sauce. This is one spot always frequented by locals, which when I travel is what I look for ?. Locals know best ?“

“I enjoyed every meal of our dinners at Ravens. The food is creative, delicious, and attractively presented. Most nights my daughter and I each got a small plate, followed by a large plate. One night we even indulged in dessert. The food is rich in vegetables and many other healthy ingredients, and is low oil and not fried. Our favorite small plate was the kale stack, and favorite large plate was the sea palm. As we roamed nearby parks, we were quite attuned to all the sea palms growing on rocks near shore. Ravens sources their sea palm locally, so we might have been looking at someone's future dinner. The portions are generous, and every night we took enough food back to our room for lunch the next day.“

“Cafe Jaavy is a lovely little place with delicious food, coffee drinks and smoothies. I love the panuchos and get them every time I am in Fort Bragg. My husband loves the breakfast burrito and the chorizo breakfast plate. This place is popular, so don't be surprised to have to wait to get a seat, but it us so worth the wait. Very friendly and attentive staff. We are headed to Fort Bragg this week and we will be visiting Cafe Javvy as soon as we can after we arrive.“

“Amazing hand crafted pizza and beer on tap! This establishment is famly run by awesome and friendly people who elevated the entire experience of enjoying a homestyle pie. They also take special requests so do not feel like you are limited to what is on the pizza menu.Dietary restrictions: They happily made us a medium chicken pizza with marinara which was not on the menu.“

“KUDOS to the staff of La Playa!!! Not only was the food DELICIOUS but the staff so very friendly. We had a large group of 40 with most being youth. The staff were so patient with our group and bottom line were just amazing. I have experienced our group with larger restaurants and La Playa blew them out of the water - the food and service top notch! When my family come to the area La Playa will be a stop for sure, and should we bring our youth group back this will for sure be on the agenda! Thank you all, from Ernesto to the wait staff to the cooks! THANK YOU ALL!“

“My favorite place to eat! Incredible sushi, fresh! Some are in house only you won't find anywhere else. The owner was a fish buyer and knows his business from that angle first. The service is top notch. I eat there every time I go to town. You will not be disappointed.“
“Perfect weekend getaway. Rain or shine there is no wrong time to visit this place. We arrived when it was gloomy and rainy which made for a romantic evening to make a fire and listen to the rain. This made for a verdant and lush sunny day when the skies finally cleared up. The location and views are phenomenal. Best room service.“

“Located at Noyo Harbor, the atmosphere is nolice. We were interested in oysters on the half shell, but we're told they were waiting for the oysters to come in, but we eventually got them. I had salmon & chips and was curious how salmon would fry. It worked well! My wife had salmon tacos that she liked. We washed it down with locally brewed beer, her a Scrimshaw and me a Red Seal, both from North Coast Brewery.“

“We ate at the Little River Inn two nights in a row. The first night we both had the fish and chips because we were craving some comfort food and I'd seen a couple with it at the bar. They had looked very happy with it and we were too. My husband raved it was the best fish and chips he'd ever had, including his own! The coleslaw was great too, and the fries. The second night my husband got the roasted chicken and was very happy with it. I got the fried chicken sandwich and was also very happy with it. No complaints as it all hit the spot! Fries were great again too. Service was great both times.“
