First off, the food was good and the place looked nice but the service was awful, except for the guy with the tattoos and beard who kept refilling our glasses with water. Here's why: 1. I walked in and was not greeted by the hosts, they were chatting and then just stared at me and I had to greet them first, basically doing their job. 2. The waiter we got was essentially mansplaining to me trying to get me to pronounce the shrimp arrabiata correctly or he wouldn't bring it to us which made me feel very uncomfortable especially since English isn't my first language. He also didn't even introduce himself to us and was trying to get me to say something I can't pronounce like??? 3. My boyfriend got the alfredo pasta with chicken and shrimp but our waiter didn't mention the shrimp would cost extra. Our waiter asked if he wanted chicken or shrimp or both but never mentioned it would be $8 for basically 4 pieces of shrimp. 4. I had to wait for more than 20 minutes to get my bill because our waiter was nowhere to be found and another waiter helped us get our bill. 5. I had to ask for the bread that they give when you're seated. I didn't notice they hadn't given us bread until we noticed everyone else who was seated after us got bread right away.

My husband and I tried this place on a whim. The food was delicious and service was impressive. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend for a date night too

An exceptionally good dining experience! We have eaten here on numerous occasions, but never in the other dining room away from the bar and main dining room. Celebrating our 33rd anniversary, they gave us a great table near the window, and the staff all signed a card that we received once we sat down. Other than a few extra minutes waiting due to how popular and busy it was, the service and food were excellent. It's not a huge menu, just a good one. Food is moderately priced with nice portions and delicious! One of the best dining establishments in Merced.
Authentic Italian. Nice decor. Slow service at first. Great Italian bread. Good chicken marsala. Margareta pizza had tough crust.

One of the few good & reliable restaurants in Merced. The menu has been around for many years but a few dishes have been added. The big difference is the wine list which has been significantly improved!

Always have a lovely time here, we have come together for friend’s birthdays, dinner nights, and for the first time because time allowed, for lunch. They have an exquisite menu, never been disappointed.We’ve had their meatball app, chicken Marsala, beet salad, and the crudo di tono paired w the Ferrari-Carano Chardonnay. All of their dishes are plated exquisitely and thoughtfully. I also love that their staff knows their wines! So if you ask for a buttery Chardonnay, you will get it, a dry cab? They’ve got you. The staff is knowledgeable on every menu item as well.Today we had the capellini pasta and the Pompeii salad, both exquisite. Ask any of the staff for their faves, and they’ll gladly share the details of their craft plates (and fun drinks too!).
Our food server did not know the menu at all; she mostly struggled when I asked about their special. The chicken marsala was not chicken marsala. It had a weird aftertaste and it consisted of one thinly sliced small breast with a mound of risotto and broccoli; it was plated messy. The pizza was good and that's about it.

They got roaches!! Don’t do it! I’m so disgusted and they know! Roaches coming out of the menu ?. Had the nerve to apologize and offer me another menu! I wouldn’t drink a cup water from there. Close the establishment until it’s under control!

Everything about this place is 5 Stars! Great service, Great food, Great ambiance, Great prices. Staff was very attentive and cheerful. Food was excellent. Bar staff and drinks were excellent. So happy to find a great atmosphere and great food restaurant in downtown Merced. This will be a regular go place for me.

Went for Valentine Day and the Food was spectacular!! Had coconut shrimp as our entree with a salad wedge. Cooked to perfection!! Service was better than ever.
