BEST BANH MI Absolute hidden gem for Vietnamese Bahn Mi sandwiches. Starting with fresh baked baguette, which is a must for a superior bahn mi. Only place that offer whole wheat baguette. Huge plus. Fillings are homemade and simply delicious. Coming from LA, where amazing food is a plenty, the bahn mi sandwiches at this donut shop is one of the best I've ever had.

I love Donut King. It is definitely one of Merceds hidden treasures. I have been a fan of their sandwiches since I moved here in 2020. The employees are super nice and always happy to help and serve you. The sandwiches are always freshly made and have a unique taste. The location is in a nice spot sometimes overlooked but definitely worth a try. I have updated their menu photos hopefully its a better view for you yelpers.

Go early and get the donuts and stuffed croissants fresh. The boba drinks are ok. I prefer the boba's from elsewhere. The lemongrass Banh Bi is good. I would go for the sandwhich alone.

Ever since becoming addicted to boba after living in Davis and Sac, I've been on the hunt for a great boba place in Merced. Hands down, Donut King is the best place for boba. Here, the boba is always soft and fresh tasting, with consistent texture no matter if you come in the morning or night. Expect to wait a bit for your order to be ready. However, this is only because there's quite the number of customers and they make everything fresh!I've tried their donuts and sandwiches as well. Sandwiches are about 6inches long and absolutely delicious. My favorite is the Vem Nuong Pork but you can't go wrong with any of them
This place never disappoints! Has the best donut holes I've had and their lemongrass chicken banh mi sandwich is bomb. Also worth trying their blended coffee--especially the cookies n cream flavor--goes perfectly with the sandwiches and of course, the donuts. Definitely a must stop if you're in the Merced area!

If i could give zero stars I would. Customer service was horrible and uncalled for to a homeless man. My husband went in for a boba drink and heard the cashier lady tell a homeless man to leave because he stunk and didnt want him there. My husband offered to buy him a donut and he picked one but the lady got a random donut and threw it on the counter and it fell to the ground so the homeless man had to pick it up from the ground. My husband made sure to let the lady know all that was uncalled for and that he too was human and deserved to eat and that he wouldn't be going back there again. She didn't care one bit. This is the second time we have witnessed her doing that but this time my husband told her off.
