Isiah (believe that's his name) the manager is stellar. Love the concept of the self-serving beer taps.

Chicken sandwich is the best thing I’ve eaten in Merced.

Food is good but the drinks menu sucks. They really need a full bar to be serving the community in an appropriate manner for their events.

I've tried liking this place. It's nostalgic for me because I've grown up here in Merced so I really wanted to like it but after having gone a few times and the food quality being quite lower than what you're paying for and after my son's recent incident there, I felt the need to leave a poor review. I made a reservation for my son and his girlfriend for the dinner/dance party the Mainzer was was putting on on Valentine's Day. My son said that when he got there and told them he had a reservation they pointed where he needed to go and did not lead him to his table. So my son and his gf picked a table themselves and sat down. About 10 minutes go by and a server had not yet helped them when a hostess walked up with another couple telling my son and his gf that they were at the other couple's reserved table. My son explained that no one told him where he was supposed to sit and moved to the table the hostess pointed out to him. After he moved, the female of the couple who told them to move came up to my son with the hostess and said that actually she preferred his table over her assigned one. My son felt awkward and annoyed and so he just gave the couple his table. After that, he had still not been asked what he'd like to order so he decided to get up and leave. There's always a disappointment consistently at this place. Whether it's the service, food, or both.

This place was beautiful. The meat lovers pizza tasted amazing. I'm so happy we have a place like this in Merced. First time visiting, not the last.

Went to the Reggaeton Brunch with my bestie and we had an amazing time! Such delicious food, wonderful drinks, and perfect music. We even ended the event on the dance floor with most of the other guests. I look forward to having more girl time at their different future events.

Great Happy Hour! Anna was a great server/bartender. She was friendly, relaxed, attentive, and knowledgeable. I considered poaching her! ?

Greeting is good. Fun self serve beer. We are staying at the El Capitan. Wanted food and a nice wine. Rain bird was closed Native son didn't have any food choices for GF people to speak of so tried Mainzer. The bartender at native son said the wine menu would the same. But they only had one red,as a house Merlot. So water for ne My partner did try a beef. So far. Waiting 20 minute s for tacos. Geez. Hope they are worth it. We ll see. NOPE. Tacos were cold tasteless Sorry won't be back. The did take it off our bill. I was so Hungary. Ambiance is cool. I'm sure they can do better.

Pricey, but the staff are good, the ambience is very different, and you won't regret the French toast! The tacos are also very unique, and they could improve on the tortillas, but otherwise worth it for the flavors alone.

Service was good. Colorful and fun decorations. Food was standard Bar Food. A big surprise when we got our checks. Mandatory 21% tip for our party of 6. Inquiry to waitress yielded explanation that it is listed on the bottom of the menu. Asked to see the menu again. There it was, at the bottom, written in very, very small, light gray print.

The atmosphere is incredible. The food was okay/good. We opted for a cup of coffee (not listed on the menu), it was just your basic black coffee.Didn’t except it to be $5.25 a cup .Aside from the high coffee price, everything was nice! If you liked to be seated and left alone after you get your food (which we do, so this was a plus, if you want your waitstaff to be at your table frequently this isn’t the place for you)My husband got the chicken and waffles, I ordered the biscuit with chorizo gravy for picture reference. The chicken and syrup were great, I didn’t try the waffle. The chorizo and biscuit were okay, I guess I was expecting something a little different. The biscuit itself was good though.I would just recommend they add the coffee price to the menu as that just comes off as little deceptive. Like 5.25 for some Folgers is comical?

It was an event so I expected it to be busy. We received one small cup of creamer for two tables and 5 coffees. The coffee is $5.25 for a cup of regular brew? That's kind of a lot. And it was burnt and bitter. Food was good. Please keep salt and condiments on the table. By the time wait staff brings it, the food is cold
