Bagel Street Cafe has been part of Millbrae for as long as I can remember always craving their bagel dogs when I was in middle school through high school. They were a good price, but also incredibly filling. I decided on a whim to come back for a visit and to be honest it was okay, but not as amazing as I once remembered. The interior is more updated and the customer service is solid too. I got my childhood favorite, Plain Bagel Dog ($4.99) and the Millbrae Special ($12). You can get cheddar or cheddar/jalapeno for your bagel dog, but I think it's fine as is being plain. The sausage was great, but the bagel itself had such a tough/rubbery texture. I felt like my jaw was having the workout of my life. The flavor was there, but the texture dissapointed me. I felt like to heat it up it was just microwaved for way too long which caused the bagel exterior to harden. The Millbrae Special comes with avocado, egg, lox, tomatoes, onions, and capers, plus plain cream cheese. They also let you choose what bagel you want and I opted for the plain bagel. The ingredients were pretty fresh and I really liked how the egg was cooked. They were also generous with the cream cheese. At first I thought $12 was too much for a bagel sandwich, but honestly it can leave you pretty full. The bagel which is supposed to be the most important part unfortunately also just tasted like a bagel you can just get from your local grocery store and honestly had a tough texture too. I think Bagel Street is just okay. It does somethings good, but I left a little underwhelmed with their bagels although every other ingredient was pretty good overall.

Asked for extra cream cheese and they delivered. Everything bagels were good. It's a quick bite kind of place. New Yorker approved

Service and atmosphere was excellent. The sausage egg cheese on sourdough was kinda blah.

This is a good Bagel Street location. The one in Redwood Shores is better. We came around 1pm and the selection of bagels was depleted. We got our usual bagel dog and a bagel with cream cheese and tomato. It didn't taste as good as the ones at their other locations. Service was fast.

If you are looking for an ultimate garlic bagel or asiago bagel this is the place! The garlic bagel it's hard like a Barry Bonds homerun and the asiago bagel really let's the cheese be the star. Highly recommend!

A solid spot for bagel sandwiches, but making it 3.5 stars mainly because the bagels themselves are your average run-of-the-mill bagels. My favorite things to order here are the Millbrae special, and the sliced lox bagel sandwich. They're a decent size and they don't skimp on the cream cheese. Even when ordering online, the bagel sandwiches are very customizable which is great. Also, if you want to feel less guilty about inhaling your bagel sandwich Sidewalk Juice recently opened up next door so you can pop by for a green juice as well.

These folks have some pretty good bagels (for the bay area) and make a respectable lox sandwich.

We always love coming in on shopping days for breakfast bagels. He likes the sliced lox on jalapeño cheddar. For me, it’s the egg and provolone on asagio with spinach mixed in the egg. Sooooo good. Every time.

I would go here religiously back in high school, they do not play with the amount of spread they put on their bagels. Throughout the years, the service definitely got a lot better and friendlier. Came in recently, and they were all so sweet, and I feel like they knew everyone who came in. I would even do some last minute studying here sometimes and I would still do work here. The vibe there is just perfect for either a grab and go or a sit and chat. My order: I've tried almost everything on their menu honestly, and they never missed. Do not skip on their refrigerators, they got spreads and more in there! Plain bagel with cream cheese - A true classic, sometimes you just gotta go plain. This goes for all their bagel orders, they will always be warm and toasty with a huge amount of whatever filling you ordered.

Another location where prices have skyrocketed and service has gotten slower and slower over the years. Online orders shouldn't take 25min to fill. When I arrive I kinda expect that order to be ready for Pickup right away that's the whole point of ordering ahead. Anyways, they try and I give them credit but it's just not there yet. Happy Donuts down the road makes a better breakfast sandwich at half the price. This is my fair assessment/review.

This place has been around for decades. Over priced compared to other places. Owner is irresponsible. His bagel had stones in it that broke a tooth. Won't own up to paying for the dental damage. Claims hardship and thinks people are trying to fleece him for a few hundred bucks in dental damage. How about being remorseful and making restitution instead of making excuses about not being able to pay? When he can afford to be out of town but can't come up with a few hundred? Got a fully staffed store and prime store location but claims hardship. Do better and stop being a coward and a cheap skate.

happened upon this bagel house the other day very hungry and realized how long it had been since I had a lox... It was very crowded but I was able to place my order right away and it was ready in an expected time frame given the crush. Unfortunately, there was very little salmon and a heaping helping of cream cheese. I had specifically asked that they go light on the cheese. So I scraped at least half of it off with coffee stirring sticks, ate, and went on. Good thing I tipped in advance! The cafe was pretty clean especially given the weekend volume.
