We were blown away by the experience of superb sushi and super service at 2015 prices. Yes, pre inflation prices for dishes Nobu would die for. Simply put, this place is hard to beat for quality, variety, service, taste, and that happy feeling you get when you realize you just got a great bargain. WOW.

Johnny is the best sushi chef!! I tried the Chef's special roll, above and beyond fresh sushi taste. Must try their crispy chicken katsu!

I'm glad to have found this place. Johnny worked diligently in meeting my requirements, even adding extra stuff to make sure me and my group were satisfied. The service was awesome. The table was never empty of anything. Everything was refilled and came without us having to ask. The workers were very respectful, did an excellent job and were always smiling. The food was yummy; it was seasoned rightly. The gyoza surprised us! It was unique, memorable and delicious. I plan to have other gatherings here again. Bashamichi also has parking and the prices are reasonable. This restaurant, Johnny and the team are worth investing your time and hard earned money to enjoy a nice meal out.--PM

Wow, this place is a hidden gem! It was a little difficult finding this place but it's located on the floor level of a hotel. When we arrived, the place was quiet and empty but started to get busy as our food arrived. The servers were very friendly and patient, they kept coming back to refill our tea and water. The food here is very reasonably priced and everything was delicious! I highly recommend!

I'm always looking for good sushi at reasonable prices, and I found the holy grail at Bashamichi! I had six or seven types of nigiri and they all were excellent. Scallops are my favorite, and the sushi chef asked if I wanted them seared or not. That was the first time I was ever given a choice. I started out with miso soup which tasted great, not salty like it often can be. The steamed edamame was similarly well prepared. I was there at lunchtime on a weekday, so I was surprised it was empty. My waiter said evenings can get busy. I will definitely be visiting Bashamichi again, soon!

I loved this place! We dined in today and we tried 49'ers roll, double hamachi roll, rainbow roll, miso soup and chicken katsu. I loved all of them. The fish and the avocado they put inside the rolls were very fresh! Service was very attentive and they fulfilled all of our requests. The atmosphere is not bad, but it can be improved. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner. We will definitely come back!

The taste of the food makes 90% of my overall reviews. This restaurant gets 5/5! They serve fresh fish on the classic & special sushi rolls. My favorites are the following: Rainbow Roll, Double Hamachi roll, 49"ers roll, Bashamichi(their special roll). Some of the rolls came with breadcrumbs on top, which wasn't on the menu and we didn't like that topping much, but next time we asked without the breadcrumbs, so it went great!Atmosphere was great, except that we came across a few uninvited flies that insisted on sharing our food and tea, it was a bit annoying trying to get them off of our food. This happened to me a few times, so I wonder if the restaurant management can find a solution to unwelcomed flies. (I promise to update my review with 5/5 atmosphere when this issue is fixed!)Service was great, all the special requests were fulfilled according to our preferences, chef's and kitchen staff have done a great job making our food, thank you Alfred & Bashamichi Team!Parking: Bashamichi Sushi and bar customers get free parking in the LA Quinta hotel parking

This place was fantastic and far, far, far tastier than I had imagined it would be! In fact, this was the best Japanese food I've ever had. I'm from the East Coast so I imagine the pickings are slimmer back home, but really, this place overdelivered.I got the Unagi Don (eel with rice) and my wife got the Bashamichi special, a combination plate. If I'm ever back in this neighborhood I'll definitely be dropping into Bashamichi.Wheelchair accessibility: There's an access ramp for wheelchairs between the restaurant and the adjacent hotel.

Tried Bashamichi Sushi for the first time. We ordered the "Lover's Combo" sushi platter. It came with dragon roll, rainbow rolls, assorted nigiri and sashimi. Each piece was delicious. The fish was high quality and served at the perfect temperature. We also tried the Mixed Tempura for texture and it was good.Service was excellent and friendly. I recommend!

Went for lunch with a small group. I got a bento box with sashimi, we also ordered some katsu curry and some of their specialty rolls. Everything was delicious, service was good. If your hankering for some good sushi I would definitely recommend this place.
