We found this restaurant by accident and are so glad that we did. It's cozy and comfortable with booths and beautiful Italian decor.Service was excellent. Waitress knew the food and was very friendly and attentive to us.The food was out of this world! My husband got the fried calamari steak and it was so tender and flavorful. Easily the best I've ever tasted.I had the Pasta Carbonara which most restaurants mess up and make with cream. This was authentic and made with egg and pancetta just like in Italy. The flavor was outstanding!!We also had the Mushroom Polenta appetizer and it was so delicious.Highly recommend this restaurant!!Parking: It's on the frontage road and there are pull in spots right in front. Would probably be full on busy weekend nights. We went early and there were plenty of spots within easy walking distance.

Dinner was delish. This place never disappoints. I love the spinach salad with the grilled eggplant and the seafood risotto with wine sane was perfectly cooked. I can't wait to go back! Oh and the warm baked bread that arrives to the table for free is anitger added touch. La Collins is a neighborhood GEM!

We had a great meal. Our first time, we're from out of town(NYC and So Cal). Food was good and made to order, nice and hot (temp). We were with an Italian couple and there were no complaints; everyone enjoyed their food.

The food was excellent and we ordered two desserts. We had Insalata Della Casa, Fettuccine Alla Salmone, Osso Buco, Seafood Pasta, Tiramisu, and chocolate cake with ice cream. So stuffed. It was very busy however we were taken good care of by our server. The only off putting thing was when we were about to order dessert, the "hostess" came by and asked if we wanted anything else. When we said yes and told her what we wanted for dessert she said to the party waiting that we were not leaving yet. I thought she could have handled it a little better instead of making us feel bad for not leaving. She was not discreet at all in that we heard her every word.

Had a special guest and we all went to LaCollina and had wonderful time. Just like home. Rose always does an outstanding job in making everyone feel special. The food is outstanding. I can always count on our favorite dishes and you must try the appetizer polenta with mushrooms.

Food was delicious. Only weak link was the Caesar's salad. Excellent waiter. Comfortable, not cold restaurant. Old school Italian decor. Not a foo foo place. Polenta with the brown gravy is a must have. Will go back to further explore the menu.

Excellent food and service. Friendly, efficient and helpful servers. Delicious and beautifully presented dishes, and good value overall. Comfortable seating, charming decor, and pleasant atmosphere. This is only our second time here since a month ago. It is a favorite restaurant of our family and friends, and is reasonably priced.

Finally a delicious authentic Northern Italian meal in the Bay Area! Being Italian American, and visiting relatives in Italy multiple times, I definitely know good Northern Italian food. We ordered multiple dishes, and all were excellent. Prices are reasonable. Glad to discover this spot, when so many local Italian restaurants are either closed or their quality has fallen off. We look forward to returning regularly.

We stayed across the street at a hotel and the staff recommended it. Wow it was so amazing. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

The food is good, the employees' attention to customers is terrible!!! In almost 2024 there are few restaurants that deny bathrooms to people, I saw a pregnant girl who makes deliveries for DoorDash and I heard her ask about the bathroom and I saw how a woman (already older, I think she is the owner) looked at her foot to head and said “No! The bathroom is only for MY CUSTOMERS” I usually come to this place a lot but I WILL NEVER GO AGAIN

The food is always good, but my lamb shank was a little tough in some parts. Not too much, but the last time I had it, was falling off the bones delicious. The service was better this time due to more waiters. Our waiter was very efficient. It think, it would have been nice to have had the host/owner go around the tables saying Merry Christmas and thank you for coming. That would be a nice touch. She's a little gruff and direct, not like a friendly host. But, I did see her clearing the tables and helping out, so she was very busy. Overall, we love La Collina and it's on our rotation of special occasion restaurants. We used to go frequently in the 90's, but my Mother passed away, and we went for a while without going out, so we forgot about the restaurant, but we are back.

Oh my gosh. The fried calamari was fresh and crispy, brucheta good. Main courses very good and large portions. Deserts were awsome. And cocktails great, good wine choices. I've never been disappointed. Going back soon.B.

This is a great restaurant. I went here and was immensely satisfied with my experience. I walked into this restaurant and was seated at an elegant table. This restaurant has pasta, veal, and other dishes. I got the penne alla galbrette ambiatta, which is tube pasta and shrimp inside spicy marinara sauce. This dish tasted exemplary. It had about five pieces of shrimp and plenty of pasta. The server who gave me this offered some Parmesan cheese, so he added as much as I would’ve liked to my meal, which enhanced the taste of an already amazing dish. This restaurant also serves a basket of complimentary hot bread at each table, which had an immaculate taste. This restaurant’s interior is beautiful, having a painting wrapping around the upper wall of the building depicting landscapes and cityscapes from Italy, such as a bridge over a canal in Venice and a small town on a mountainous coast. I gave this restaurant five stars because it has exquisite food and a beautiful interior. It’s a small restaurant that packs a mighty punch.
