Our family enjoys eating at Naked Fish in Millbrae. Their sushi rolls and bento boxes are always delicious. There are many options to choose from between the menu and their daily specials. Their food is presented well and amply portioned. Their service is consistently good and the servers are attentive. Whether we eat a late lunch or dinner with family and friends, we always leave this place full and content. My only criticism of this place is the location. Because the gym is directly above it, more specifically, the weight room, you can hear the weights dropping on the floor on certain occasions and it’s distracting. However, because we enjoy eating here more than anything else, we tolerate the noise on the few instances it’s happened. There is ample parking around, both on the street and in the parking lot next to it.Overall, I recommend you try this restaurant if you’re in the neighborhood.

The food and service was good but they were playing very loud country music which is not my personal preference for a peaceful dining experience but if you like loud country music and sushi this is the place to be! I won’t judge.

Late review—I was craving nigiris, specifically toro, so I came here since it’s close by. Got smoked salmon, blue fin and toro. $12.99/2 piece for Blue Fin - not worth it. They weren’t fresh, Toro was more lean, and not quite fatty, some of the nigiris I got were poorly assembled and deteriorated… just not worth it overall. 24hr fitness gym is above it so you maybe startled by qym equipment being slammed on the floor.I recently came from Japan and have been to a couple of other sushi places in SF since for nigiri. Unfortunately, quality could be much better. Staff was nice tho so 2 stars

Food was good and presentation was above average. Prices are a bit high for what it is. House Sake served was strikingly horrible, but they replaced it with something much better upon request. Overall service was polite and attentive. Ambiance was pleasant (however tables smelled funky, like washed with dirty rag). Might go back but will likely go somewhere else less expensive.

Been here many time. Always great. My toddler has fish allergies and they are always great with that. Going to a sushi place w fish allergies is no fun. We have not experienced an allergic reaction yet. The fish here always seems fresh. We love the happy hour!!!Kid-friendliness: Toddler has allergies and they are always careful.

Decent and good. Price was good.Food was okay. Got the bento box comes with a lot of variety but Salad was fine. Beef teriyaki was chewy. the chicken katsu felt undercooked. Overall good place for a quick bite or lunch break.

I have been going here for years, back when they first opened. The decor is simple and has plenty of TVs to watch sports etc. Service is always fast and prompt. The lady was always checking on us to see if we needed anything else, etc.I'm sure they are under new ownership because I've seen a few new additional food items, and I'm not complaining. This is part of the reason why I came back again so soon.We ordered:1. Calamari- this is a must order every time we go here. Lightly fried with onions and jalapeños.2. Gyozo - I always crave this and it always hits the spot3. Beef short rib - perfect portion and perfect balance of meat and fattiness which I love.4. Age dashi tofu - pieces were a little bigger than what I'm use to but perfect balance of crunch and firmness.5. Crunchy giants - this is a tasty one. To be honest I've tried a bunch of the signature rolls especially when I'd go here and they have happy hour specials6. Honey moon roll- if you like honey walnut prawns this is for you7. Bento box - huge portions for the price. We typically get anything they have they are all good.8. Yaki udon - This is new. The noodles tasted so fresh, chewy, and bouncy. I'm not sure how else to describe it. You can just tell when you require take a bite, it's not some version of a chowmein. We got this one with steak.9. Sake sampler - highly recommend if you're not sure which one you like.

Bizarre dining experience! The server was rude, impatient, and arrogant. Made every request seem outrageous! There weren’t any cups, so we received plastic cups. There was only 1 fork available and we waited 25 minutes for the remaining 4 (we were a party of 5) and there still weren’t any??? Does it not take 30 seconds to wash 4 forks? Finally the waiter gave us plastic forks, and made it seem like asking for forks is once again outrageous. The food took about 35 minutes to arrive, and they were simple maki rolls. Mind you it was two pm on a Sunday and there were only 6 other people at the restaurant. Will not be returning

Amazing food. Great price. In particular, their hand rolls are well priced and the fish is always fresh. If you like tempura, theirs is my very favorite. Very quick as well. The location is not ideal, but it is worth it! I've seen others mention the decor - at this price point with this quality, who cares?
