tldr; quick and surprisingly tasty bites before entering the departure hall It seems odd to review a place which is basically fast food / food court fare, but Potrero Grill has become a staple for me before I fly out of SFO. Service is basic as you'd expect - go up the counter, pay and they'll call out your number when it's ready. What stands out is that everything is freshly grilled - my favorite so far is the fish and chips. It doesn't look particularly nice, but the fish is fresh and the chips decent. It's a great way to fill up in case you don't want to rely too much on the in-flight meal options. This is located in the "Marketplace", on the left side of the international terminal (gate G). The seating is typical food court, but it's pretty clean / functional with a variety of seating options.

I used to write reviews for every place I went to. For the last year or so, I haven't written a lot. But I've decided to write one for this because I'm so surprised by the quality.I ordered a clam chowder soup in a sourdough bread bowl. This is one of my go-to meals around the bay. I wasn't expecting good quality, I just wanted something warm for my sore throat. The clam chowder was full of ingredients and a good amount of clam. What blew me away was the sourdough bread. It was toasted and delicious. I would rank this pretty high up on my list of clam chowder in sourdough bread bowls.

There are various dishes to choose from. Orders are taken quickly and the delivery takes place just as quickly. We had a crispy chicken sandwich with fries and a pickle. Everything tasted great. However, I would recommend canned drinks. The drinks served in the cup taste very much like chlorine.Of the three fast food restaurants next to each other, I would choose this one first.

For airport food it's excellent. I love the Cesar salad with salmon. I do not eat meat so it's nice that they have a beyond burger too.

On the morning of october 24th i went to potrero grill as i always do, for breakfast before my flight around 6:30 am. I was about to order my food when i witnessed a short asian old lady speaking loudly in a domineer /arrogant manner to the line cook. I felt so bad for him and i can only ask my self how can this be happening at the airport (SFO) in which they have won the sustainability award, this restaurant is FAR from having a sustainable work environment. In fact, management seems to be HOSTILE towards employees. I want raise my voice not regarding the quality of the food or service provided by employees because they're always been friendly but because of UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT I will NO longer SUPPORT this business and i will also take this report to SFO directors office or business development management.

I have a burger and fries here a few times while waiting for the flights or taking my friends or family to the airport. I don't expect more service than just taking my order at the register and letting me know when my food is ready. That's the same as all the fast-food restaurants do. The burgers and fries are okay. No different than most of the airport. The best thing here is the seating area. It is shared with the other restaurants in front of the gate "G." The seating area is nice, relaxing, and comfortable.

It’s located before check in, at the international terminal. Great price for what it is at an airport. Decent sandwiches. However, food isn’t high quality in anyway. They are made quick though. Fries are mediocre. Portion size is huge. Quality can be improved slightly to obtain 5 stars as airport food.

I had a very bad experience, apart from being expensive, the bacon turned out bad and the dry pancakes offered me something else and the ham is just as bitter

Let's face it - unless you're at an airport in Asia (Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, Narita), airport food is usually hit or miss. I think food options are usually better after security as opposed to pre-security.Potrero Grill is located in a food court in the International Departures Terminal, pre-security. They are mainly a sandwich and burger place but you can also get salads. I ordered a cheeseburger for our 3yo son, since its usually a good go-to dish of there's no Teriyaki Salmon around. The burger and fries were made to order, though for some reason the meat seemed dry and on the bland side. I don't mind cutting down the salt fir the little one, but keep the juiciness in please! Fries were good - crispy and not too oily. Note SFO has other, better burger options like Super Duper Burger. However, its located in another food court past security.
