Have been to this place multiple times in the past decade or over... whenever I was in the neighborhood. It had undergone renovation in the recent years, however, food taste went in other direction. Chaats are decent. Chole Batura is impressively less greasy! Harabhara Paratha perhaps better named as Harabhara Batata reflecting potato stuffing with a bit of grated paneer with bland taste. Very disappointing. Paani Puri is not that enticing either. Dahi bhalla chaat and Dahi Papdi chaat are decent. Sweets and snacks look good. Bengali sweets are pricey! Service is pretty quick ... hope to see counter staff welcoming customers ... one feels like going back

Another good place to get Jain (no onion garlic and potatoes) food.We tried paneer curry, malai kofta, sev puri and samosa chat... all of them was very good. You read it right it's Jain Samosa chaat and it's really good you must try.Dietary restrictions: Jain food available.. no onion no garlic and no potatoes

Visited this Indian place twice because a friend said their paranthas are a must-try. The first time was fantastic – loved the paranthas, chai, and pani puri. However, the second visit didn't live up to the hype. The chole bhature and pani puri were a letdown; maybe a different chef that day? The service is usually quick, but when it gets busy, things slow down a bit. Despite the mixed experience, I might return for the paranthas, which were the highlight for us for sure. The atmosphere is decent, and it's generally a good place, just hit or miss sometimes?Parking: Always busy

AVOID THIS PLACEThey had the courage to serve up paav that was burnt beyond human consumption. Also paav bhaji is not makhni gravy with onions. This is a unserious operation with below amateur food.

Very poor management of orders. Takes the order, makes you pay and moves to the next person. Doesn’t give a receipt or order number or even say a word after that.Sat wondering how he will know when our order is ready. I’m still waiting while I’m writing this.We finally went up to him to check, he didn’t know about our order and started working on it after.

Really yumm food . It's right around the corner for us so we have eaten here a lot . My favs are the samosa chat , dahi bhalla chat , dahi chole chat , dahi papdi chat and their hara Bhara paratha . Their sev puri and sprite chat was good too . Good quantity .

The paneer pakoda at Bombay Chat House disappointed with an excessive besan coating, masking the paneer's taste. On a brighter note, the samosa was enjoyable, and the pricing seemed fair for the overall dining experience.

chola bhatura - 2.5/5 ( below average taste, almost bland, not at all spicy, pickles on the side are a saviour)Paneer wrap - 3/5 (tastes edible, nothing outstanding about it ) Samosa- 5/5 (they are out of the world, the best I've had in Bay Area) Chaat - 2/5 (don't go here for chaat, it's bland, chutneys are low quality & lack flavour) Aloo parantha - 5/5 (very good & filling )Hara bhara parantha - 5/5 (very good & filling) Lunch / dinner combo - 3.5/5 ( I'm rating it 3.5 just because it's value for money, although taste is not as great ) Chai - 1/5 (not at all good, tastes like dhoopbatti ) Over all 3/5 to this place because it's value for money, servers (male ones) are polite , ambiance is decent (Indian canteen like)

"The food was tasteless and bland. It seemed like it was reheated or microwaved rather than freshly prepared. I couldn't even finish my meal because it was so unappetizing."

I placed an order for 10 rotis, dal makhni, kadi, baingan ka bharta, and dal tadka. However, the Nepalese woman inside overcharged us for our meal, and once we began eating at home, we found that the container for the dal tadka was cracked and leaking and that the kadi was missing. Adding to this food was salty and so bad in taste. Poor staff efficiency, careless attitude, bad food, and terrible services. I wouldn't advise placing an order from this place.
