It's a small place located along a shopping center, so make sure you come early since it fills up quick! The short ribs and fried chicken were so good! Flavorful and tender meat. The tofu soup was so good! It normally comes spicy but they offer no spice and it's just as good in my opinion. I was not a fan of the bulgogi beef, but I really enjoyed the japchae noodles! Would definitely recommend this to my friends and family. Word of mouth was how I first found out about this place and I'm so glad to see the Yelp community also loves it! :)

Ordered the bulgogi and combination tofu soup. The bulgogi came with 9 pc banchan. Everything was soooo good! Soft tofu soup was the best. Service was excellent as well.

Amazing food and service! One of the best tofu soups I've had in the bay. I love the variety of banchan they provided with the soups, it was almost overwhelming at first. Clean restaurant and family friendly atmosphere.

Hansang Tofu is one of my favorite traditional Korean restaurants in the Milpitas/San Jose area. There is great variety in their banchan; including bean sprouts, broccoli, eggplants, tofu, potatoes, kimchi, japchae, seaweed, and perhaps I am missing another. But the way their potatoes and kimchi banchan plates have been made here, are my favorite. I'm always ravishing the banchan plates empty by the time our food comes (and that's saying a lot, considering our entrees always come super quickly!). Shoutout to the owners and staff here, they are always so kind and nice to us during our visits. My go to order is typically the tofu soup (medium spice) and galbi (short ribs) combo. The galbi is incredibly delicious, perfectly cooked to a slight in between of medium rare to well done. I've had the fried chicken, rice cakes, and cold noodles here before - all great, delicious dishes. But the go to will always be a tofu soup and protein combo - great deal to split between 2 people.

Food is good, we have no complaints for what we ordered. Only 1 server for the whole dining room, she's a bit overwhelmed. Not much decorations, very practical. They automatically charge 18% tips.

After picking up some pies for "Pie Day", I was super hungry so I looked for a new Korean restaurant to try out and found this place. The restaurant is a good size and clean. The service was good and quick. Prices for food quality and quantity were really good. I was really impressed with the banchan. There were so many choices and they were all yummy...so good that I finished them all. The food was equally just as good. Here is what I had: Combo meal with galbi and combo tofu soup: the galbi was nicely marinated and tender with a good amount of meat, and the combo tofu soup was yummy too. It had seafood and meat in it, they give you a raw egg to put in the soup as it comes it boiling hot...so be careful Original fried chicken: this was good...the only thing I wish was it to be a little less salty. Other than that it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Overall I was pleased with everything and I will definitely go back to try other things.

The first time I dined-in was September 2023. I was very impressed by the dishes and ban-chan (side dishes), but today, most of the foods were too salty for me and the cold noodle had too much vinegar. The service was still good though.

The price is out of this world. I can import the chicken from Korea and be less expensive. Lunch are dinner rate on weekends. 3 dishes $100! Service was crap at best. No smile! Ask for bigger table and given small table for 4. It was not even crowded. A word of advice, please a customer and he will come back. In this economy, be nice to the patrons. I will not recommend this place to anyone. In fact this will be my last visit.

I love the abundance of side dishes they give here. The side dishes also taste fresh and well prepared compared to other places. I ordered 2 combos and a kimchi pancake for 3 people and we finished everything. The kimchi pancake had a perfect crunch for every bite (I had about 4 pieces- oops!). The combos are also worth since you can usually get a meat and tofu soup/noodles. I have come here about 4 times now and every time is hits the spot.

Best tofu spot in South Bay, yes I said it!!! It's my third time at Hansang tofu and it has been consistently good. I've dined in twice which was a great experience, and today was my first time getting takeout. The soup is so authentic and tasty. It actually reminds me of soft tofu soups I've tried in Korea, which is why I'm so appreciative that this place has opened up in Milpitas. The Korean ladies working at the restaurant are so sweet and they are very hardworking. Their service is top tier and I can always expect the experience to be positive. Today, I ordered the combo meal that came with spicy pork and kimchi soft tofu soup. It was $40 (including tip) which I think is a great deal considering they give a generous amount of different banchan and rice with the meal. The portion is big, so I can split it as two meals as well. Sometimes the quality and portion of the meal can be different when ordering takeout, but not this place! They neatly packaged everything and the portion sizes were the same as if I were to dine in. The ambiance is chill, with Korean Kpop playing in the background. It's not overpowering so it's a great place to share a meal with friends and family! I'm already looking forward to going back to Hansang tofu!!!

We really enjoyed our meal here. Very clean restaurant, good service, and delicious food. We ordered the combo bulgogi, tofu soup, and also a bowl of ramen. Felt like a good home cooked meal.
