Place is dirty. The crew/ employees are very unpleasant, very unhappy. They shouldn’t be working here if they don’t know customer service. The food reflects how unhappy are the people that made it. Sad that their management doesn’t care. Max’s Milpitas is disgusting zero star here. And sad another filipino resto will be closing soon!

Chicken was light and crispy. Not oily like the other popular Filipino chicken place that we all know. The halo halo had great presentation but didn't have enough of the fun yummies I expected. This is mommy's favorite childhood restaurant from the Philippines. The food was fine. I liked that it wasn't salty. I liked the lumpia presentation in an open wrapper. Garlic rice was nicely flavored, but could have used more garlic. I'll come back next time in town to try more chicken.Dietary restrictions: I love Filipino food but due to new allergies to sesame I can't guarantee I can eat here safely. Staff isn't well versed in allergy knowledge. Language was a barrier with the server.

I love MAX’s Fried Chicken. It is comfort food for me. Growing up in Manila in the 60’s there was one Max’s Restaurant on Roxas Blvd in Paranaque/Baclaran and one in Cubao, the Baclaran one was very popular. My dad used to take us there on special occasions and we loved it. Back then an order of chicken came with fried plantains. Delicious meal. Living in the States I’ve been to Max’s in LA in the 90’s, my favorite Max’s in Las Vegas and the old Max’s in San Jose(?). This Max’s now still has the same tasting chicken I remember from my childhood years. Delish. Simple fare but I will travel long distances to eat at Max’s, I live over an hour away. I walk in, same ambience, same decor and same delicious food as I remember. Wait staff is wholly Filipinos from the homeland. And as it is with Filipinos everywhere, warm, friendly, caring and respectful. I only wish they’d stick up on their wine inventory. I had to drink beer. I love Max’s Fried Chicken and I hope they go on to my children’s generation.

Max chicken was awesome. Lots of flavor. Also had their pandit bihon and nilaga baka with steam rice. It's a little on the pricey side but the food was great.

Ordered Kare Kare to go and when I got home, there was no meat at all. I was told it has ox tail before I ordered. I got 2 containers, one has vegetables and the other was sauce. It's disappointing after travelling over an hour to get home with no dinner.

I haven't been to this place for a while. It sort of deteriorated. Place isn't that clean, and the floor was sticky. Our table also had food remnants of the previous customers. Fried chicken was just ok. Sisig is a pass. Kare kare pass as well. The service was the best thing at this place. You can get better food in Daly City. I guess if you are in the area, try it, but don't expect too much.

Max’s Restaurant is one of the popular Filipino restaurants, where people can get the full experience in eating different varieties of Filipino food. Its famous food, Max’s Fried Chicken, really gives a nice taste especially when it comes with fries. The Sisig and Sinigang also taste nice and fresh.I highly recommend this place for people who are new to Filipino food to get the experience of what dishes are usually served in Filipino households.

I ordered here if I'm not mistaken 2 months ago for dine a pinakbet, vegetables are very hard super hard,so I told to the waiter and he said they going to change it,I said do it to go instead because we're almost done to eat, when I went home and checked it,they did not change it instead they cook it again to make thé vegetables soften. Now here I am again ordered a whole fried chicken to go,when I got home I need to cook rice and a small veggies when I opened the chicken it's so very very dried, over cook so how can I reheat it if it's already dry when I opened it!!!!!I call them right away, complaining about the chicken they told me I return it and they change it,how about my gasoline my time and my effort????Never ever comeback on this place

Came to Milpitas with my boss and a couple of co workers over the weekend for work. My boss wanted to try some Filipino food. Me being Filipino googled the nearest Filipino and it was Maxs. Inside I thought Maxs is a great chain and have been to Max both in the Phils. and US. But this Max's was the worst experienced I've ever had not only for Max's but any other restaurant I've ever been to. The service was horrible! We sat down never greeted then she shows up and literally says ready? Ok... we ordered everything all at once and never saw her again. She vanished. The table next to us got their food first after arriving 10 mins. After we did and then they gave away part of our food to a different table. Our last meal item was served 15 minutes after we got our items. I had to get up to look for someone to get soup bowls before our soup got cold and they gave us coffee cups. The food was terrible! The chicken was so dry that I had to flush it down with water. The lechon kawali felt like they grabbed a clump of chopped pork and fried it never stirred it and all ended clumped into one piece. No refills on water and soda. No removing of plates we didn't need we didn't know were to put other items in our table. We asked somebody else for our check and ask this person where our server went and she didn't even know! The table that was there after us was served first and left before us. The guy in that table felt bad for us and told his waiter that he thought we were ready to leave as well. This was such an embarrassing experience for me as I picked the place to take my boss and co workers knowing this has always been a good establishment.
