Ordered some eggroll for new years they couldn't manage phone orders and walk in orders. People who already ordered over the phone never got their orders.

Been going to King Egg roll since they first opened their Lundy Ave location back 25+ years ago. I was driving by the other day and stopped by this location on Calaveras. It wasn't very busy for a mid-Sunday afternoon. You place your order on the far right and move your way eventually over to the left to pay. I ordered 15 regular pork egg rolls and 5 vegetarian egg rolls. It was nice to see them have the vegetarian rolls available. In the past I've had to call in or wait for them to fry up a fresh batch of those. They are generous with the amount of sweet and sour sauce containers included with each order. The service was friendly, fast, and efficient. They have the whole ordering system down to a T.The place is pretty wide with dining tables on both sides. I believe this used to be a Denny's back in the day. You can see it in the architecture of the building.Getting out of the parking lot can be a challenge getting back onto Calaveras especially with the cars coming off 237.

So over many years I have enjoyed King Egg Roll beginning with the Berressa location, the one off of McLaughlin and in Milpitas. For some reason its name has changed (family feud?) and have a big grand opening sign. I don't care what it's called, best egg rolls on the planet! When you decide to bring your homemade 7 layer dip, your famous meatballs, or whatever to a pot luck and someone brings a tray from this place, you will LOSE! Got a few to munch on while our party tray was being made fresh. Great as usual and one in 10 minutes like they said.

Expensive food (fried rice, etc.) The egg rolls are tasty, and the terriaki chicken were a rememorable moment for me).

Haven't been to a King Eggroll in a while. I wanted dimsum/appetizers but the ones left for grabs did not look appetizing especially when there's not much to choose from. There were only 3-5 items on the appetizer trays with my fave ones (shrimp balls, xiu mai, chicken, etc) and they look super dry or they may have been sitting there for a while. So, instead, I got a combo with half/half chowmein and rice, szechuan beef and chicken w/ mushroom. A little salty for my taste. As far as the inside, comfy setting and clean.

I heard that King Eggroll Express was good so I had to try it out. A lot of options to choose from. The fried rice was actually pretty good! This is good spot if you want something quick and delicious to eat! I got it to go but it looks like there is a lot of room for it door dining.

People gotta realize that for what it is (Chinese fast food), this place is top tier! There's a great selection of choices that you can build your combo plate with and the quality/taste is really solid for fast food. Would I get the dim sum options here? Probably not. Are there better options for Chinese food? Definitely. But is this place better than Panda Express and other equivalents? Hell yes.Walk in, get food, walk out - all under 2 minutes! And it tastes good too? Come on now!My go-order is half chow mein & half fried rice with the sweet and sour pork and the salt and pepper fish. I appreciate that they put chicken in the chow mein and fried rice, makes it feel a bit more bang for your buck.

Haven't been to a king egg roll in a while. Saw this express one while driving by Milpitas. It replaced the Denny's. First impression of the place was that it was pretty big and had tons of space for guests. Set is as usual where you come in and pick out what you want. Wasn't too busy and only one other customer that was waiting for fresh egg rolls. The lady that helped me was pretty nice but just seemed tired and not energetic at all. It's a grand opening so you should be excited about new customers! Ok on to the food. Not too long of a review. All the fried foods, shrimp ball, fried chicken, pork egg roll/chicken egg roll just didn't have much flavor on them. Most definitely needed more added seasoning. I tried all of the fried food with the sweet and sour sauce they provide you with and without that sauce.... There's not much you taste. I remember king egg roll being really good. I usually went to the San Jose location off berryessa. So maybe the taste differs per location? Not sure but it wasn't too good. It wasn't bad but just not as good as I remember. Combo plate I got a bbq chicken, orange chicken and chowmein. The orange chicken was really bad and had an after taste to it. Chicken bbq was decent. The noodles were good. I would definitely recommend going to the other locations over this new one.
