My wife and I had our wedding reception catered by Red Chillies because we wanted my family to be able to try Kerala food. We were so happy with the food! The kappa and fish curry was everyone’s favorite. The biriyani was great and had plenty of chicken. Each dish actually was perfect. People loved it and Joshy was a pleasure to communicate with while planning the menu and coordinating pick up. Highly recommend!

The lady who works here is very good. We were talking about if we had extra rice it would be great. She listened and brought it to us for free. She understands what customers need. Food was great ?. Ghee goat biryani tasted superb

Being from mangalore ( costal india ) this is the only place which serves proper fish curries than just annoyingly spicy andra curries . It used to be my go to place for fish cravings

Food is always good but indoor dining is currently closed. We were disappointed when we came in person is to see the sign on the door. Open for catering only online or by phone.

We always cater from here when hosting big parties! Price is reasonably for the Bay Area and great customer service. We love their traditional "nadan" food options: - chicken biriyani - beef (semi dry) - cabbage thoran - rice - morru curry (turmeric yogurt dressing) - papadam (fried lentil) - Kerala fish curry - veggie and non veggie (beef/fish) cutlets (breaded appetizer) - appam (crepe (not sweet) breakfast item/appetizer, typically eaten with a stew or curry) - vegetable stew (vegetables in a coconut milk broth) Def a place to check out if you want South Indian (Kerala) food. If your looking for food that is a little on the spicey side then this is the place. They used to have weekend buffets, if they still have that it's definitely worth checking out so you can try a variety :)

Tried to call for a order and asked if they spoke Punjabi then hung up. Super disrespectful.

This was the first time we were visiting. We drove 50 miles with great expectations and found the restaurant indefinitely closed with no indication on Yelp or on the restaurant website.

I used Red Chillies to cater my daughter's birthday for 50 guests. I have to say the food was absolutely fantastic! The parottas were perfectly flaky and the curries were just the right amount of spice and abundant with flavor. The party guests really enjoyed it and the quantity of food was very generous. Payment options were convenient. Couple that with timely delivery and excellent customer service from Mr. Joshy , this turned out to be an excellent experience. Mr Joshy even helped us to set the the buffet up for my guests ! I would really recommend using them for catering services if you are looking at serving Malabar food

Having read the other amazing reviews for this place, I was looking forward to enjoying a scrumptious meal. We ordered malabar fried chicken and chicken varuthara with parotta. Malabar fried chicken was tasteless, with obviously added food coloring which neither looked appealing nor appetizing. Chicken varuthara was a sad gooey bland mess. It didn't have any distinct cuts of meat. Looks like the restaurant sells their meat scraps in this dish. All I got was bones and cartilage. Parotta was alright, but nothing that would convince me to go back to this restaurant. Giving it 2 stars instead of 1 only because the food did not make me sick.

Spacious dining hall, nice seating arrangements, soft and decent interiors topped up with nice hospitality and tasty malabar dishes. We tried their chilly prawns and prawns fry for starters. Both were nicely done but a bit spicy. We tried kappa and meen curry which was great. The kappa was perfectly done and going well with the spicy fish curry. We also tried their Malabar parotta with Kerala Chicken curry and Vegetable Mappas. The parottas were fresh, soft and fluffy. The Kerala Chicken curry was delicious but a little creamy which was a little out of the traditional style. The Mappas was also a little more creamy and thick but great. Though the pricing was found to be a little higher than other similar outlets in Milpitas and Fremont, it matched the quality of food and fine dining. Would recommend this outlet to those who love Malabar dishes while in Milpitas.

One advice. Don’t dine here. Food was terrible. We ordered Fish Pollichathu, kappa with Chicken curry and vegetable stew with appam.Appam was okay. Apart from that all other dishes had no flavor. It was very disappointing. The fish lacked salt. But imo even if salt was there in right proportion it would not have saved the dish :(Also we were served in paper plates, I feel for the amount paid the service is not up to the mark.

For Vishu Sadya, we ordered for 6 people from here. It was my first time having the enormous vegetarian Sadya menu ever and also my first time trying out red chilies and it was fantastic.Quantity: we ordered one family pack and two individual which was quite a lot of food , even for 6 people. Next time we'll try ordering a family and an individual packQuality: The food was very good! I loved the savory and sweet banana chips, pumpkin curry, kachadi, bitter gourd- yogurt.Wonderful introduction to Sadya but:They did message us saying that a few people complained about payasam and asked us not to have it. Uncomfortable situation here but good communication. The papads also had a fishy taste so I did not go back for a second bite.Edit: A friend had stomach upset the entire next day, probably from the pumpkin because he ate that the most and it even smelled funky the next day.

I am a lover of biriyani and spicy South Indian food.this place didn't impress me much. The food was ok.I had better biriyani and appam in other places of Bay Area. I liked the spicy shrimp as appetizer. Goat biriyani was ok. Didn't like the chicken roast. I was expecting it to be dry but it was gravy and looked crazily orange. I dined in. They asked me to scan the QR code and order using the app. I found it strange the way they serve the food. It was in togo boxes even though I booked a table to dine in. They gave paper plates and plastic spoons. It was only ala carte and no option of buffet.

Not worth dining in. Horrible experience. Its like the experience of a government hostel where: 1. Before ordering, she tells you that we need to take the plates and glasses to the trash before leaving. 2. Dishes come in disposable To-Go boxes and paper plates and cups, equivalent of taking it home and eating 3. Quantity was less 4. After dining and even before we pay or get up, she again tells us in an impolite way to trash the glasses as well before leaving. We thought next she wont let us go until we even clean the table lol. 5. On exiting, they dont say bye or thank you even after doing our part disposing the cups and plates 6. Food was good so giving 2 stars else would have given 1
