Fun stop for fried foods. We wanted a different lunch experience so Taiwanese street food. We can order via tablet and pay and our food gets to us within 10-15 min. It was about 11:45 am on a Monday. We ordered oysters with egg noodle, kind of gravy-ish broth. Popcorn chicken, crunchy and not dry, mild (but can choose spicy) and a sweet potato fries. All tasty and great texture. Next time we can probably ask if there is a dipping sauce. There are other items we will try but the serving was pretty generous.

Dont come here, service is horrible. I wanted to order and crowded so i ordered online. I was at the great mall location, i didnt know theres another store in Milpitas when i ordered. No one directed me how to order as everyone standing there was picking up not ordering. Im so confused. So i ordered at the wrong location, so i went up to get my order and the person told me i ordered at the other Milpitas location. I told her can you just make me the order here to save me the trouble, she told me no. She said call and cancel at the other location and order again here. I called the other location they told me they wont cancel the order. I dont believe that they cant just make me another order. Such a waste of time. I know i made a mistake ordering at the wrong location but they should provide good service and just make me popcorn chicken its so easy. Im going to call my credit card to dispute the charge and never coming there again. Also its so crowded and no one helps you there. I rather burn $15 than give it to this place

Shihlin Taiwan Street had an enticing appearance, and I was searching for a place to order a snack to tide me over until lunch. I specifically requested a non-spicy option, but I ended up with a spicy dish that included grey pepper, which was still spicy. Additionally, sugar was unexpectedly included in my honey lemon cooler drink, which was a concern for me as I try to focus on healthier drinks. I hope they enhance their communication, as not everyone can tolerate such high sugar levels. The ambiance was quiet. It's essential to ensure that a customer's preferences are taken into account, especially when it comes to serving spicy dishes to those who can't handle the heat.

We ordered from the snacks menu. The popcorn chicken. Seasoned with seaweed flavor. Hot. Hot wasn't spicy. The flavor is good and it was cut into delicious bite sizes. The portion for the amount was good. I'll definitely come back here.

I order from their website 1 hour ahead, and when I go pick up, they don’t know about this order, but they already charge me and cannot be refund so I have to wait here, I ask can you prepare my food prior since I order an hour ago, they said it’s not their problem and I need to wait 20-30more minutes, I tried to call them to confirm if the food is ready before I arrive and nobody’s answering the phone, this is not the first time I call them in recent half year and they never pick up the phone, super bad experience here

Was in the area and have been wanting to try Shihlin. The popcorn chicken was a large bag of tender flavorful chicken pieces. I order mild but it still had a kick. Very flavorful. And for $13, it is a snack to be shared on a meal. The oyster omelet was yummy. A light egg omelet with lumps of oysters that was a treat to have.

The chicken is on point! It is crispy on the outside and well seasoned on the inside. Go slay that fried chicken craving here.

The wait was longer than I expected. I gotta try grandma braised chicken rice and spicy XL chicken thigh. Two of us barely were able to finish the food. The rice bowl was okay. XL chicken thigh was not that spicy. I would come back to try out popcorn chicken this time instead.

Second time here and the food was delicious! Service was quick. The outdoors seating area gets packed quickly.

Sooooo bomb. Their crust/breading is amazing!! Think they use a type of rice/tapioca flour maybe that has a slight mochi type of chew to it. Paid around $12 and you get a lot. I could eat this w a side of rice and be satisfied for a quick lunch Xtra spicy is not spicy. Looks super red but is more like paprika than cayenne/chilli powder. Next time I'd probably get a lower spice level to reduce the amount of spice dust that doesn't rly add any additional flavor and takes away from the chicken seasoning. Service was fast and staff is nice :)

I got the popcorn chicken and it was great!Service-wise, I had ordered popcorn chicken rice box, but the cashier must have misheard for just popcorn chicken. I didn't realize my receipt said popcorn chicken only until I received my food - which took like 20 minutes. In a busy mall food court, and definitely one of the better options among the neighbor chains.

Really good popcorn chicken and fish balls. Although you can choose spice level, the red powder they put on the food isn't spicy at all and just makes the food have a powdery texture so I would recommend to get no spice. Very little indoor sitting but there are benches for outdoor seating.

Food was good, but not exceptional. Chicken (鹽酥雞, 魯雞飯)was good; sides of the bento sets were cold. Good enough if you just want food in the area, but not good enough to travel for. The seating is outside in the alley. Utensils are plastic. Mostly serving to go customers with fast, decent food.
