One of the Best South Indian Vegetarian food in the Bay Area. And value for money too.

Tirupathi bhimas in Milpitas or artesia has always been a good experience, this time was no different, I do enjoy an occasional thali meals and bhimas completely satisfied it, we ordered the spicy thali and medhu vada, they were both very good.. always a fan of their paruppu podi, the toddler asked for multiple servings, the kara kuzhambu was probably not the best but everything else was good, particularly the veggies, it's not one of those random dal and veg but proper sides.. a special mention to the lady , I think she works in the backend but was so sweet to get everything my toddler wanted, from sippy cups to extra ghee!

Good staff! But the food cannot be abysmal. Guys there are so many better South Indian restaurants. Don't even bother wasting time and money here. They have managed to progressively worsen the quality over the years.

One of our go-to places for south Indian food in the bay area. I've tried most of their dishes but I'm absolutely enjoy the Bhima's spicy Thali and Veg Biryani. The quantity is sufficient in the thali, items are plenty and tasty. Love the sambhar and rasam. Special mention about the yogurt. Try their bagalabath if you like yogurt! The veg biryani is NOT the Andhra style biryani that you get elsewhere and that's why it's special. The staff is friendly and polite too. Good to know that they've remained consistent through the years and that the food quality is as good as ever!

This is undoubtedly one of the best South Indian restaurants I've been to. I've lived extensively in East and West coasts and if you want truly authentic food combined with humility and great quality of service this is it! Very clean and all servers / staff are wearing masks to protect the consumers. We took Masala Dosa (Plain Paper Roast), Curry Leaves Dosa and sides- a very refreshing cup of yogurt, sambar and steamed rice. My wife and I are big lovers of the cuisine and were here for the first time. We will make this our frequent joint going forward.

Mouthwatering flavors in the thali. Highly recommend the spicy one, it’s moderate not too spicy. All curry was fresh made and warm. Each curry had rich aroma and taste. Keep up the good work.

What a wonderful lunch experience at Bhimas. My hudband was reminded of the original taste in Tirupathi. They have maintained the authenticity and taste of their food.Loved the Spicy Bhimas Thali, Onion Dosa, Medu Wada and Filter Coffee. Will be back soon to try other items on the menu. The place has enough parking since they are located inside a shopping complex.

I ordered two plate idly and one masala dosa and only received one plate idly and one masala dosa while being fully charged for everything . Also the delivery charges did not show up in the original order . Original bill was 23$ but I got charged 36$ +.. the total charge should have been shown in the original bill since I could have made a division to pick myself . The app said 99c delivery that was so miss leading since the total market up turned out to be $13+... go there and eat or pick up yourself. One star for the dishes I did get .

Very clean and courteous service. I mostly try their breakfast food. Mullagapodi idly is delicious for a light starter. Their rava dosa , uttapam, mini tiffin is very tasty. They have a salted buttermilk that's very refreshing.

"It feels just like India", my Indian wife said with a sigh of nostalgia. I'm only familiar with North Indian food, like probably most non-Indian folks in the bay area that has eaten at an Indian restaurant, but my wife said they for the first time ever eating at an Indian restaurant in the bay. That alone is five star worthy to me. For her, it evoked a lot of memories of what her mom would make for her and when she visited India with her family. She said the food was extremely authentic South Indian. The service was beyond top notch with a very friendly staff who made sure you were taken care of constantly. One thing to note: if you're not familiar with the cuisine, you need to do your research beforehand as the menu does not have any descriptions or pictures to go with the names. I was fortunate that my wife knew what they were and could order for us. Another note: The food is different compared to North Indian food from what I've tried. You may or may not like it. Its not a bad thing, it's just different and may not be for everyone. We will definitely come back again - my wife told her parents about the place then they would definitely want to come if they're ever in the area.

I went there after a long time after Covid restrictions were all lifted. Taste is all good. Service sucks. We asked for a filter coffee and it was cold coffee. Even when we told the coffee is cold, the server didn't bother giving us hot coffee and instead argued with us that the coffee is hot indeed. The customer service is crucial when serving in a restaurant and we were not happy to get such a bad treatment.

Bhimas has hands-down the best thali I have ever tasted in the West Coast. Expect clean, sharp flavors, a lovely assortment of items and excellent bang for the buck from their meals. I cannot count the number of times we decide to order from Uber Eats, scroll through all the Indian options and eventually land on Bhimas as their value is unmatched. Today was the first time I visited their restaurant in person. I had their paneer masala dosa and mini-thali (tiffin). The chutneys and sambar are to die for, and I say this as someone quite picky about flavor. The servers there were kind, warm and prompt and assured us about asking for chutney as many times we wanted. Even with the filter coffee we ordered later, we were served additional decoction upon request, something I have not seen in other restaurants. All in all, really authentic and robust flavors, excellent service and decent interiors. What more can one ask for?
