My friend and used to come every once in awhile to meetup for a bite. Now I don't think we will ever be coming back.1) their menu prices have gone up astronomically. The quality of the food is definitely not worth the cost any longer2) our waiter delivered the wrong food to us. In the process he spilled food all of the table. He didn't clean it up and my friend grabbed a fresh mat and utensils from another table.3) Our waiter took our food from us when it was wrong and then in the process spilled scalding hot soup on friend. He didn't even awknowledge it when my friend jumped in pain and didn't apologize.4) when we paid he gave us the wrong credit card and check back.Service was awful and the staff was the clumbsy I have ever seen. Combine this with way overpriced food, and average quality, you're better off going anywhere else to eat.

Fish roe tofu soup is outstanding, packed with plenty of fish roe! The side dish is average though, I feel kimchi lacks flavor. There are plenty of seats, and we didn’t have to wait too long during mealtime.

love love love this place! It’s so homey here and I just love their soondubu and the side dishes that come with it. The service here is always so welcoming and I never hesitate to go here when I want comfort food or just food in general ☺️They do have vegetarian options like veggie bibimbop, veggie pancake, etc.

The place is quite spacious and there are lots of seats. When it's really busy at meal times, sometimes you have to queue. The tofu soup is quite delicious and quite spicy at a mild level. The seafood pancakes weren't very tasty (too thick). The bulgogi was ok. The side dishes and rice are served in a box, so it's also easy if we don't run out, just bring the box.

I absolutely love this place. The medium spicy beef tofu soup is my go-to. Note: side dishes are no longer refillable :(

I’ve been a regular at this restaurant since they first opened and the food here is consistently good and solid. The upside: The taste of the soup rivals those in LA and the side dishes like their fishcake and kimchee is legendary. The downside: The price keeps rising every time I go, but it’s worth the splurge once in a while, but I’m getting tired of their use of the plastic bento boxes for in-person dining. It’s a good solution for to-go and was acceptable during the height of the pandemic, but I don’t think it’s acceptable anymore. I don’t know if all the plastic is being recycled or not. I’m guessing it’s mostly going into the trash. Not only that, but I don’t want to be continuously be exposed to plastics in my food if possible. The rice and some of the side dishes are hot. I’m putting hot soup into the plastic bento box. I hope the owners read these comments and make adjustments. I will give them 5 stars when this happens.

Food is good, you can’t expect good service here. Only one server is running more than 20 tables. Highly recommend order togo.

Oh man, we wanted to enjoy our time here but there were just a few things about their service that missed our expectations. The service was not good at all this time. They accidentally forgot to bring out one of our entrees even though our server repeated it correctly to us. To preface, we've dined at this location in the past and had a good experience with the food and service. We placed our name on the waiting list around 12:30 and were seated after 10 minutes. We had to flag our server down several times to place our order but it seemed that he was really busy seating and rearranging tables for the next line of customers. After our server arrived, we placed an order for two entrees: Grilled Beef and Beef Tofu Soup + Mild spice. He explained that each entree will include a complimentary "bento box" which includes your banchan/ side dishes. After 15 minutes we noticed time passed by without any side dishes or our water being brought to the table. It didn't occur to me that the customers who were seated after us had their drinks and appetizers served before us! Time passed by and we had to flag a waiter to ask about our order...The side dishes came out first and I will say they were very yummy or maybe we were just that hungry waiting for our food to come out. After finishing almost our side dishes, the tofu soup came out. Though it comes in a single serve stone pot i believe the entree itself could be shared between two people! What bothered me was the fact that the server asked if he could borrow the chair next to me to give to the table behind us. The table next to us + behind us were served their food first even though we were seated before them. Not sure why that is but that was what my partner and I both observed. It seemed that the servers were being attentive to the customers around us. What we looked forward to was the grilled beef...I flagged the server and asked about it and they admitted that they forgotten about it. I believe the table behind us might've gotten our order because again...they served the food to the people around us first lol. Overall, we left with a sour taste from this place. We spoke to the waiter about our missing order and they said "sorry would you like more side dishes?" We politely declined and decided to leave after our shared soup was finished. I personally would not come here again from my experience. However, even though the food can be good I cannot recommend a restaurant that is not consistent with their service especially if they admitted to forgetting about one of the orders we placed. ***I included a picture of the beef tofu soup below. My boyfriend and I arrived at the restaurant hungry and excited to eat so we ended up finishing the soup together since they forgot our grilled beef :/ Our bill ended up being $21 for the tofu soup.

Best soondoobu in the South Bay. Nothing even compares. Sure, go and save a few dollars for mediocre alternatives from non Korean reviewers. Nothing beats this place.

This is my favorite spot in the bay area for tofu soup! There are so many different tofu soups to choose from but my go to is the mild mushroom soft tofu soup. I love the flavor of the broth and how it stays super hot in the stone bowl. You also get a whole bento box of the banchans which includes rice, kimchi, fish cakes, bean sprouts, and japchae. While during certain times it takes a while to get seated, the service is super fast and friendly once you are seated!
