This place is a favorite because the food is consistently good and service is friendly and prompt. Prices are reasonable, they have a rewards program and a kids menu. They had an amazing promo with every entree you purchase you have the option of buying a take and bake pizza home for $8. Took home the mushroom with thin crust ( for thin crust it’s $1.50 more) and pepperoni with regular crust. Will be doing this again as they were delicious and better than a frozen pizza.

Phoned manager regarding my hamburger that was raw and I got deathly ill, manager took it off the bill and I explained he should have a talk with his chef's because I did call my order in and ask for a well done hamburger. Very disappointed in the preparation of my meal, very leery about ever ordering from California Pizza Kitchen again.

Wow a terrible experience at this restaurant has me writing this review at 10pm. We have eaten at CPK 100 times, we lived next to the Irvine location and now Mission Viejo. Where do I begin? I went to this restaurant tired and hungry with my 3 children. The server asked if we wanted appetizers I ordered the guacamole with no jalepenos and no onions so the kids could have some. When it arrived, none of us could eat it because it had so many red chili flakes mixed in and it was mostly corn with a little avocado mixed in. It was not good. The buffalo cauliflower that I usually love was insanely spicy, so spicy that I also couldn't eat it. I proceeded to order dinner, I had the soup, same as I always order, kids had their kids pizza and chicken. My soup that arrived was supposed to be my be my meal, and it was barely warm, like it had been sitting at room temperature for an hour. The server did not come back and check on us for 10 mins after that, I ended up eating half of my son's pizza because I was so hungry. My older daughter ordered the chicken picatta, that was her favorite and also mine. But this time, the chicken was so rubbery, we literally could NOT EAT IT. I felt embarrassed that I had already told the server that the soup wasnt hot and the guac was too spicy to eat, I couldn't bring myself to say anything about the rubbery chicken. We at the noodles and left the chicken there, $20 for noodles basically. I wanted to get my children a special treat so we all decided to share the butter cake with icecream, no joke it tasted like Vons cake that was on discount, with a waxy substance on top, it was GROSS. I was so incredibly disappointed, I don't think I'll eat there ever again. Oh, and the cold soup I gave up on and asked to take it to go. When I got home to reheat it and eat it, it was a tiny amount, less than held the container was full. Not sure what's going on with CPK but it seems to be going downhill fast, maybe that's why they have so many marketing promotions? I dunno, but it's a big disappointment.
