Fast service, great food, and seven minutes from the house. Couldn't ask for much more.

The food was delicious. They also have very friendly staff.. place was clean. This is my new favorite Chinese food spot.Kid-friendliness: They have different rice options for kids that don't like veggies in their fried rice ?

We ordered wonton soup and plain chow mein. I cannot speak to the service or ambience, but the food was disappointing. The wontons were mushy and sour and the veg and things were poorly seasoned. The chow mein was basic but the garlicky flavor made up for any doneness issues. We used to really like this place but this was disappointing.

Noodles were great. Had a nice savory smell of garlic. The wonton soup had nice veggies, but the wontons were terrible. They were pasty and gooey and had a strange flavor. I do not recommend the wonton soup. We were sick and we really wanted soup so it was pretty much a bummer

Tried them twice. Unfortunately was in bathroom after both times. First time I gave them benefit of the doubt. Last night, there was no doubt about it. It's their food. Eat at your own risk.

I have known this restaurant since its beginning 25+ years ago when it was at Albertsons Center on Olympiad and Alicia.... Wendy's is being built on that piece of real estate now. Lakeside, their across the street from my office on Empressa in RSM in the ARCO Gas Station building. It is real handy!.. Delightful people so very kind and quick service. Food is very good quality and the same menu you may recall ... loaded with a large variety dishes to pick from. Very happy to see them doing well here...

Best Chinese food in Town - Rancho Santa Margarita. I've been looking for a while. They even have soup dumplings. My family's favorite.

Tried Lakeside in between the holidays on a "no cook night" and we had a great experience! We placed our order online, the food was ready right on time, served hot, and with a smile! We were given extra hot mustard & other sauces that we requested without any extra charge. The portions were generous and provided left overs for our family for several days. We will definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I wanted to try this new Chinese restaurant and what a huge mistake that was. We should have stuck with our goto (Asian Kitchen - The best in Orange County). We paid $25 for a quart of house special Lo mein which they call Chow Mein and an order of pot stickers that looked like they were frozen out of a box. The Lo mein was awful and it tasted like nutmeg. In the entire portion, there were 4 shrimp that's it. I would never go to this place again. We sat down to eat (take out) and we both looked at each other and said, this is bad. We ended up having cereal for dinner. We through $25 to the win and hope that many people avoid this place at all costs.I am a New Yorker born and raised and worked in NYC for over 18 years. Chinese is one of my favorites and I know good Chinese food when I eat it. Lakeside Chinese failed!

The food was delicious, huge portions and reasonable prices. Excellent service and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating.

New location but same great food! Ambiance is more for take out setting, but there are tables for dining in.

I REALLY wanted to have this be good or better Chinese Food. But it could be the worst Chinese food I've ever had. I gave them two stars, because they were nice, but reserved at the register, had my food ready on time to pickup and the steamed rice was great. I ordered food from each category on the menu and my family and I were greatly disappointed. It is in the center with the Post Office and Laguna Beer Company, and close to my parent's home. I wish I had just ordered food from Laguna Beer to Go! I would really like to find a good to great Chinese restaurant in the area, but so far nothing.

We had food delivered from this place which came with 3 soups. The soups were grossly over-salted, as if someone had dropped the whole bag of salt in there and didn't care. What the hell? Don't they check at al;l? Don't they have cooks?
