Oh... My...Giddy...Aunt...Now let me tell you all something. This place had me sketch but seeing the reveiws i had to see what the fuzz was about. They sell whole beans for us coffee lovers and when i bought a half pound of that expresso forte and brewed at home, I instantly regretted it. I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THE BIGGER BAG! Now the expresso was the best I ever had in my young life. It literally dilated my eyes and had me do a dramatic pause of what in the world did I drink. It was nothing short of awesometacular and perfection. I am now a loyal customer to Clayton's. Big salute to you guys. Appreciate what yall bring to Modesto!

Ever since we found this hidden gem I can never buy store bought coffee beans! Their beans are freshly roasted and all the blends we tried are great! The service here is beyond and so friendly. Highly recommend!

JUST BULK COFFEE. Super nice staff—but you can't get drip coffee, lattes, etc. Just coffee in bulk; like a bag of beans. Don't head here for your cup of coffee, though. Again, nice and helped staff!

I first tried a esspresso made from Clayton in Placerville where it was like no other I've had before. I've since baught my own esspresso maker and go through a finely ground 1 pound bag of their Esspresso Forte each month. Now spoiled I cannot be satisfied when I'm away from home. This is the best refinded coffee,esspresso and/or tea anywhere in the . Thank You for what you do .

What a find!!!!! I mean they've only been here for over 30 years. It started out with a tremendous website that in fine detail explained each coffee along with the history of business. Walked in and received a warm welcome from Don ( roastmaster). What an honor to meet the owner and CEO Gretchen, she was so kind and had a wealth of information about espresso. She belongs on everyone's coffee table, I could spend hours listening to her...... awesome vibe and place you won't be disappointed..... coffee is life!!!!!!!!

Years ago (probably a decade by now) I had an ice tea drink in Murphys, Calif., that was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS...when I found I could order the tea directly from Clayton Coffee & Tea, I did -- and they kept my ordering info, so that now, years after my first order, I can still order the same tea and make it here in the south (and you KNOW how us southerners love our ice tea). I am soooo grateful for your company (and your ordering systems!). While I may not buy often, I do appreciate your staff and your product...keep up the excellent work...I'll be back fer shur.

don't fret if it's busy, it is worth the wait. fast and courteous service. the bill was well within reason for the quality. food is similar to a cafe in portland i loved.
