Vegan review:The owner (or the seemingly only employee at the counter) was very friendly and kind. They do have vegan cheese, and it is not an upcharge or anything, but were out of vegan mozzarella and only had vegan cheddar the day I ordered. The owner was kind enough to check with me at pick-up if I wanted vegan cheddar cheese on my pizza, and added a bunch in a ziploc bag for me to top the pizza at home. The current vegan cheese being offered is Vevan brand, which a lot better and less goopy (and off-putting to some) than Daiya.As for ordering online, there is no explicit vegan option for cheese which I'd normally be a bit worried about. There was no upcharge for vegan cheese either since it wasn't an option. I simply requested vegan cheese in the dietary restrictions / allergies section.Overall probably the cheapest vegan pizza option in town with a crust I really like. The only thing I could ask for is some vegan protein options but since it's take-and-bake I can just add my own Impossible sausage (and I did, along with some vegan mozzarella!)Vegetarian options: I chose vegetable toppings and then requested vegan cheese in dietary restrictions per pizza.

Loved their pizza especially the sauce. The crust is thinner than commercial pizza which I like. They also give a lot of toppings. Also I liked that they are not too far from me.

Holy cow! My husband picked this pizza up tonight and OMG it is the BEST pizza we have had in A long time. We got half pepperoni and half pepperoni and jalapeños. Usually ever Friday we get mountains Mikes and this is 10x better. The jalapeños are fresh and spicy and he put such a generous amount. This will be our new pizza place for sure.
I love this place... used to be a weekly stop on Thursday nights for the amazing 3 for $30 deal... Sadly ever since card services stopped working it's been tough to make sure I am carrying cash and they haven't closed early. Really really miss it.. great and giant stuffed mushrooms are awesome and cheesy bread to die for. Great owner with a great personality.. the food shows his love and the shop shows his entertaining style! Highly recommended.

I've been coming to this place since I moved to modesto in 2019, and let me tell you, The pizza here is excellent! They also have wings and calzones, deserts and gluten free options. If you're an 80 is baby you will love the decor, because there's tons of Ninja Turtles, WWF wrestlers, as well as He-Man and Mr. T to greet you when you come in!! The owner is amazing and personable! This is a small business with a big heart and huge appreciation for their customers. Just picked up my calzone, and popped it in the oven, the house immediately smelled amazing. I like the garlic and herb spread that is over the top of the calzone. Fantastic pizza.Dietary restrictions: They offer keto pizza crusts, cauliflower crust and cheese crust.

Why go to any other Take-n-Bake when you can have perfection. Fresh ingredients, plentiful topings and crispy top crust (calzone) are yours out of your own oven. The big advantages of Donatello's: You can stick it in the fridge and have it ready when you want. No waiting on delivery and then reheating because it's cold. It will be hot out of the oven. You are supporting local people, not a big pizza chain. The crust is pretty good. Since you are talking to them you can get exactly the right amount of pineapple on your pie. Downside: since you are cooking it, it is on you if it gets burnt. And their pizza is salty, more than the average pizza.
