Went in for a date night and ordered miso soup, unagi & scallop bites, Standiford roll (without shrimp), and the 49ers roll. Everything was AMAZING! My bf and I were both pleasantly surprised to see cilantro on our rolls but the flavors tied together insanely well! I kept trying to add a little ginger or soy sauce to mine (standiford roll) but kept going back to the roll as ordered because it was already perfection. We both work in customer service and appreciated being checked on without being smothered, and our waitress made us feel comfortable when we were unsure on pronunciations ?Overall- absolutely recommend! Already dreaming of our next visit ?Vegetarian options: I noted a few menu items already made vegetarian. Also, the waitress said they can make adjustments to almost anything.

Best sushi I've had in Modesto yet! Lived here for years, just recently moved back. Loved our dinner, food was amazing. Reserve your seats wait was a half hour but all worth it!

Service was excellent went with my aunt in the mid-afternoon for lunch. Ordered the angel roll because I'm not much of a raw sushi person and it was fantastic. My aunt says she's been here many times and the service is always fantastic and so is the food. But she did say the fried oysters were not the best nor her favorite.

Been here a few times but this last time was a gross one. Ordered a grilled salmon and it was still raw. Had eaten half of it and it looked and raw after getting to the fatter part of the filet. Got grossed out. Glad they knocked it off the bill. Will have to stick to sushi and finger foods for now on smh if I decide to return.

We walk in at 2:15 pm the sign on the door say 2:30 pm to try get lunch but the host at the front desk said the kitchen is close at 2:15 pm. That is not good service maybe change the sign to 2:15 pm not going back there.

It doesn't matter if it Valentines or regular day, it's been several occasions that they'll have to wait for your order when you place an order online. Or screw up an order. One of the waitress that works there is very rude. High likely that we will not come back anymore! 1+ hour to receive an order placed online... even the DoorDash said screw it and left. I guess some people aren't getting their food.

I ordered for pick up. I got the angel roll was delicious would order again 10/10 recommend. Service was great. Waiter at the front was quick and repeated my order back to me before handing me my order.

Would have been a 5 star in food, but I got a spoiled piece of shrimp sushi (everything else was 5 stars). The server removed it from the ticket. The greeting hostess was very lethargic and really didn't greet us it was more of a "why are you here" attitude. The server was great 5 stars. Clean and oder free atmosphere. There are no other issues.

Today 9 years anniversary for my merry. We came to Fumi for family dinner @ 8:30pm. I order food n drink for me n my wife. Even not 9:20 pm yet the waitress kick my family out of restaurant because they closes the restaurant early. We still have food n drink left over on the table. But she bo care. She said “ they will turn off the lights add 9:30”. Im very sad

This used to be my favorite restaurant. I've had a birthday party in the back room, but I went revently and everything's changed. The service used to be top notch and now their slow and ignore you. We were done eating for 25 minutes and our server never came to give us a check. We went to speak with a lady by a register to call our server. We realized the gratuity is automatic on groups bigger than 5, and that's why our server went missing.

The food could be good but the service just ruins it. Every time I order here, it’s made differently and wrong. I’m not too nit picky but this place messes up so much I have to have it fixed. Just today I ordered my normal meal, of course I checked it at pick up and it was incorrect. I didn’t feel like waiting and it wasn’t too bad so I just took but while I’m asking about the mistake this server literally not even a foot from me has her back to me leaning against the counter talking to me while facing her coworkers. SMH just rude, it took everything in my not to make a scene.
