The first thing that drew me here was their high rating, and they didn't disappoint! The staff was friendly and helpful and pleasant. The price was extremely affordable for this day and age, I mean 12$ for a large plate of nachos! (I nixed the beans, Pico, guac, etc) that's a lot for that price tbh. Considering how full it was it was actual pretty relaxing and not overly loud inside like it was easy enough to tune out into the back ground. Now for the food, I'm picky about my nachos the first thing I look for (when I order acrually) is what's the cheese like (I don't like that fake liquid cheese sorry!) And I was excited to learn it was in fact melted montero jack! Next factor the chips of course! It's the base so I except it to stand uo to the weight it carries, literally, I don't want my nachos falling to pieces while I eat them. They did not let me down! Stood firm and crispy not one soggy chip the ratio was perfect I was impressed with all aspects of the food, ambiance, and service and would definitely recommend to anyone to give it a try and will definitely be a returning customer :3

Ordered online. They thought I was Door Dash. But it was a personal order. My food was just slopped on woth no care. I didn't get the tortillas I ordered and pay for. No wonder dash drivers have a bad rap. DO BITTER

Jalapenos is our go to place for Mexican food. Their burritos are huge and the price is right. The pozole on Thursday is the best that I've had from a restaurant. They give you warm tortilla chips when you order and they have a self serve salsa bar! If beer is what you're looking for, you've found the right place! They have around 10 beers on tap, Mexican beers, bud light and coors light as well as some I.P.A.'s and the prices are awesome. The service is top-notch from Jessica, Liz-Beth, Marilu to all the other employees , everyone is super nice. They always greet you with a smile and the service is fast. They have sports playing on the tv's and music playing on the speakers. Do your self a favor and pay this place a visit, you won't be disappointed!

I happened to be in the area and got a lengua taco and chicken dinner plate. Delicious beans with cheese, nicely seasoned chicken. The rice is the weak link in the plate. Taco was delicious and not soggy. Solid place

The food was so tasty! I was in the mood for crunchy tacos, so I googled "hole in the wall crunchy tacos in Modesto." It was rated 4.4 stars but I would give this place 5 stars! We came here and the staff were all friendly and the guys was perfect. Mom and I both ordeted chubby tacos. She got carnitas. I got asada. They came with rice and beans.They were the tastiest tacos!! We will definitely be coming back!

Amazing selection of salsa!!! The best I've seen or tasted in a long time!! I had their street style tacos and they were VERY GOOD!!!! Chips are just ok, thin style and not enough, but the salsa makes up for it!! We will definitely order here again!!
