Food is always on point and always get fast service! Great option when you or your family can't decide between Japanese and Chinese food. This is our go-to place when my husband and I want sushi, we bribe our son with chowmein and orange chicken.Parking: Shared parking lot with several businesses

Made reservations for New Year's Eve and so glad we did! The food was amazing, the sake bombs were impressive and the atmosphere was perfect. We will go back for New Years Eve and hopefully just for good food

The food was of good size and quality, but the service was terrible. We were left alone for too long, and despite ordering soft drinks, the waitress didn't bring my refill back. She only realized the mistake after we finished our meal, and we were charged for both empty soft drinks. I forgot to leave a tip as well.

I've never in my life have experienced a bad moment at this place until today I enjoy going because it's accessible close to my place food is decent..customer service is basic with that being said today my bf and I went started off normal got sat ordered our drinks .. then our food 15mins later and then got our food .. that is the 3 times I can count where the waiter came to our table our bill was about $73 between us two and I get it that's a lot but I don't see how what my bill amount was had to do with a tip. I felt like no tip was required because we didn't get over served if that makes sense besides the basic taking our order and bringing food I do not think my waiter did anything that required or made him feel like he was going to receive a tip but he sure did this man ran to my car as I was already in my car asking me why I did not tip if his service was bad I was shocked I didn't know it was okay to chase and ask for tips ..I handed him $5 he said but you spend $73 so my face just fell from embarrassment and I'm not sure if I was embarrassed for him or me but I proceeded to hand him more money outside of the restaurant in the parking lot because he was asking for a tip I think I ended up giving him $15-$20 and yes it's not much but I just don't understand in what world was it okay for him to chase me.

Staff were very flexible, timely and great about conveying specific requests to the cooks. Food was very fresh and the presentation was delightful. The atmosphere is pleasant just not very formal or romantic. It was fine.

We are regulars at this place for the last 5 months since we move to SJ county. My husband and I come here at least 3 times/week for lunch. The last 3 visits have been a nightmare. We have been served by this same server in the picture. Seems to be that he has an attitude problem or something is wrong in his life because he let's it out on people. No manners, no greetings, but we did not really take it personal because we go there for the food. He always comes to the table and asks "what do you want?". Before we even ask him to please repeat out order, this guy is half way going away.Today the experience was the worst of them all 3 last times. He came, rolled his eyes and proceeded to ask "what do you want?. My husband said, 2 waters and the guy was already on his way. He returned and brought 1 water and tossed the straw on the table, and started going away without taking our order. I proceeded to say "excuse me can you please bring another water" which he quickly engaged into an argument saying I did not tell him what I want, so he brought 1 water for the person that ordered. My husband quickly rectified that he asked for 2 waters. Then this server immediately walked away and make a big situation with the hostess, took several other team members and started pointing at us with fingers, which we clearly did not understand what was his problem.15 mins later he walked into our table and proceeded to drop the cup of water on the table. At this point I asked him to please send another server, which brought an attitude and another rude response "aha, aha, someone will do, not me".Our food was taken 25 mins later by the hostess, who clearly did not want to serve food nor she had to (because she is clearly busy at the front desk). I did not feel welcome at all despite being a regular. The food that was brought to us had spills all over the bowl of soup, it was cold. The main course "the chicken with garlic sauce" was not well cooked, the meat was still hard and raw and it also had spill all over the plate, the fried rice was burnt. While we started eating this same server was soooo polite and courteous to the adjacent table and the table behind us.At this point I had the sense that we were truly not welcomed (not sure because of our race, looks, or what, considering that customers are mostly Caucasian folks, and we are not "white"), those in the tables around us were all white people. No one came by to ask if we needed or wanted to order anything else. So, By the time we were ready to leave, no one brought our bill, so we had to walk to the front, which is no problem, to request for our bill. We were ignored for around 8 mins before we were given the bill to pay. Really bad experience overall. We will not return to JP moving forward. Such a shame you get a crappy service when you are paying for it.
