they charged a mandatory 26.00 tip for a 140 bill tip should be voluntary not mandatory. service wasn't good enough for a 26.00 charge for hour of work. I won't return .

don't like this restaurant at all, I've had a lot of Mexican food growing up (I'm hispanic) and this place is definitely bad. they're one of the only mexican food restaurants in the area which probably explains why they're still open. I also had a bad experience with the service, I ordered my food then went back and added a drink and it came out to 5$ just for a cup to get soda from the fountain. Terrible prices here.

First let me start off by saying I was attending lunch with a large party of eight people on a Sunday afternoon. So I understand it can be difficult but our weight was extremely long a party that arrived after us and had more people with us was going to be sat down before us until someone spoke up in our party. So it was not a very good start the food was okay it took a very long time, are server was fantastic. And just a heads up if you arrive with the party of eight or more and plan on splitting the check they cannot split the check for you if it's a party of eight or more.

I took my dad here after a doctors appointment The garlic shrimp appetizer was delicious. Their chips and salsa was good. I ordered a taco combo plate. I was not impressed with the taco. Taco meat which was asada tasted old. The rice and beans were ok. In the end, the main attraction was just ok. For being the original La Morenita's, I expected a little more wow factor.

So first I would like to say I have been coming to this restaurant for years. Unfortunately I will never go back! My son has a gluten and shellfish allergy. I explained this to the waitress because I wanted to order him tacos to take home. She brought me my food and assured me everything was gluten free. I got home and out of the 4 tacos two were flour tortillas. I called and let them know and they said it was impossible because they only have burrito size flour tortillas! Excuse me but that is a straight up lie, I order them with fajitas all the time. Like I'm so stupid that I couldn't possibly identify a flour tortilla !!! That's fine, there is definitely better Mexican food in Modesto than La Mornita. By the way this is the taco hope you can identify it! Absolutely ridiculous

Had a larger party (9) and they brought out each person's food in 5 minutes increments so we all were eating at separate times. Food was bland and definitely wasn't worth the price point. I would not recommend eating here.
