I'd like to start out with my past experiences over the last 5 years. All very positive. Food quality amazing. Service amazing. Now..... I've tried every location so not all are equal in this review. McHenry: Great food. Great service. Riverbank: Inconsistent food. Shotty service. Dirty restaurant. Look out their windows and you can't see outside due to the sludge build up!! Tables dirty. New Location: STAY AWAY!!! By far the worst of the other two locations.

I am appalled!!! They charged us 3.00 each chip basket. And 1.50 for salsa!!! We have been going to La Parrilla for at least 12 years! This is so depressing for us. So, as much as I love this place, I will NOT be going again!

Went in with my family for lunch. Waited almost 10 minutes just to get drinks. All servers around us were accommodating their tables but our server, Mariah, was MIA. Our lunch experience took just under 90 minutes. We had to ask other servers where our food was, for drink refills, to go boxes and then asked the manager for our bill. We love this place but zero stars for Mariah! Ruined our experience today.

They called us inside to be sat and we proceeded to wait there for 15 minutes (while our table was clean and set) because nobody was seating us. While we were waiting, a customer left because guacamole was spilled on her by a server. We finally got seated and sat there for 20 minutes with no greeting from a server or chips and salsa. After talking to the front, a seemingly drunk (who we saw actually drinking behind the bar) man took our order for drinks and still didn't bring any chips. He came back and asked for our drinks again because he forgot what we had ordered, and then 5 minutes later we had to remind him again. When he eventually brought out the chips and salsa, he dropped the bean dip walking over and then spilled our salsa on the table and left it there for us to clean up. The service is terrible and neglectful. Go somewhere else where the staff isn't drunk and spilling stuff everywhere.

The place is clean and modern, just noisy, you can hear the clang of plates. Food is good, but pricey. The girl in front was going to give our table to someone else while I was in conversation with my friend. She looked sideways with her eyes, saw that I was looking at her, & she faked a "who came first?". I said "I did." & she shrugged her shoulders to the other group. How can she not know? There's only 2 groups waiting & I came way ahead. Then I was still eating when she brought the check without any of us asking. How rude!Oh, and their happy hour is false advertising. It said 3pm-7pm on the menu, but when I asked, the waiter said 10am-2pm. What??? When I asked to clarify, he just said "I don't know." Whatever! Not coming back.

I have been here three times now, the service has gone down. And before any bad comments, I was a waitress for 2 years. The staff were standing around talking while we waited to get seated, took about 15 min before we got asked for drinks. Chips and salsa came had to ask for napkins and silverware and again took about 15 before they came back to take order, waitress seemed like we were a bother never asked if we wanted more water or soda. Than we had to wait at least 20 min for the bill maybe they were in a meeting by the bar but I had to ask for the bill and they clearly could see we were ready to go. Place is clean very loud. Food was okay. Maybe I will try again maybe it was a bad day for them. Not going back for awhile.Parking: Parking lot but it can be hard to find parking it is in a shopping center.Wheelchair accessibility: Enough room for wheelchair access

Shout out to Jordan and the other Bartender. I did not get her name. We had a bad experience at the McHenry location so we decided to go to the Oakdale location and try it out. Absolutely a complete difference just the welcoming host. Alone! Will be making the drive across town for the better service alone! Our food was fantastic! The service though!! Service was A1! Jordan Thank you for the perfect service! We'll be back!
