My family and I pass this place all the time for over 10 years, finally we stopped to try it out.. Gosh we should've stopped by 9.5 years ago, lol this place was very clean, great food!!! And very kind folks that work there. We plan to make The Chicken Barn one of our regular stops to get a bite out to eat for now on....

Must have when I'm in McHenry Village. Breaded chicken dipped in BBQ sauce and spuds. So good.
Great place for chicken! I often think chicken can be hit or miss, but this places was SO good. We got the 10 piece nugget meal (they compare to boneless wings if you’re curious what the nuggets are like). We got spuds (fried potato wedges) and biscuits. There was a new employee being trained and she did a really good job! The girl training her was also very helpful and patient while she was teaching her. Very nice staff and very helpful.The food was SO good. We will most likely return before we head back home!
The food is always piping hot, delicious, and with friendly service! Despite being VERY busy tonight, Randy in the drive thru was extremely prompt, kind, and was constantly multi-tasking to expedite cars as quickly as possible. Thank you and the rest of the staff!

I have not been to this restaurant in a lot of years but my partner mentioned the spuds and how they were always so good, and they still are. However, the chicken is the worst... Rubbery and dry is not a combination I enjoy, but my dog seemed to like it... Also, the staff are super friendly except for the manager lady... Maybe she was having an off day. It happens.My final thought is that this place is off the list! Will not be back ever.
Seriously the best chicken in the Modesto. Their nuggets are enormous as well as their spuds, and everything is always fresh and delicious. Try their mustard relish, its seriously some of the best sauce i've ever tried.
