Welp! Went on Sunday (fun day) after seeing carrot top. Go into bar and a couple guys and two drunk girls making out. Okay! Go to get something to eat and a few drinks. Drunk girl was bartender yelling I already said last call!!! You have to leave. Ummm okay….. husband has to use the bathroom real quick so I waited outside for him. The 2 guys from before were putting away chairs and tables giggling how they were getting lucky tonight with the drunk girls. So I guess we will not be going there again!! Just weird I thought they changed

Ray ruined my experience. He got drunk and disrespected, insulted, almost assaulted me in front of all the patrons. I will never come back. Horrible, and not what downtown Modesto should be proud of.

The fries were very very salty but for 3 bucks were good. The bartender with the short hair older woman seemed like she didn't want to be there. She had a "Resting" face of someone that wasn't happy to help anyone. I tried my hardest to get her to smile but no go. The 2 younger bartenders kicked butt!! Don't get me wrong the place was really nice with the live music. I would definitely go back again.
I have been a patron for several years. Recently, I brought my dogs to the outside eating area. Apparently, one of my dogs barked at another dog outside of the seating area. When we came back again several weeks later, I was informed we were not welcome if the dogs barked at all. When I spoke to the manager about this later, he stated that the importance of pet owners had been given too much importance. I have been involved with bars including being a bouncer for several years. I have never seen patrons leave or order less food or drinks based on a patrons' dog barking. I will not be a patron of The Goat as long as this is stated as their standard. My apologies to the talented persons offering entertainment.

Hmm, what can I say? Was attending an open mic and that was fun. They have an outdoor seating area. Pool tables in the back. My boyfriend and I discovered darts and table hockey forgot what its called.. but yes there's games, plenty of seating, bar and they light a outdoor burner so you can stay warm in the winter which is really nice.Cute place. Customer service was about the usual you get around Modesto.

The food was really good. The only reason I can't give this a five star is I had to wait almost 10 mins to get a box. They seemed understaffed so I don't hold it against the lady working, however it seems they might need to hire some more people to help out as it gets busy in there. The only reason I didn't give atmosphere a 5 star is because in the back room with the rush pinball machine and the billiards it reeked of cigarettes, so much so that I couldn't stay in that room without getting a headache. All in all, as long as you stay in the front room you'll have a good night, but might be waiting for a bit if it's busy.

I never got to try the food. We arrived at 5:50 and had to leave at 6:45 and not received our food. Nearly an hour for 7 people in the restaraunt total and couldn't get the food out. Nice place, wont last long.
