“We visited Frak's Cafe last Sunday for lunch and were thoroughly impressed. I ordered the all-meat omelet, and my girlfriend enjoyed the patty melt. Both meals were delicious, exceeding our expectations. The service at Frak's Cafe was exceptional; the staff was incredibly friendly and contributed to the welcoming, local ambiance. It's a gem of a place, and we're so glad we decided to stop by. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and a warm atmosphere.“
“I wish they'd open back up sooner! Buddy o' mine & I went the other day to have a drink and a burger and were told by some locals it might be a while before re-opening... Hotel looks absolutely stunning from the outside though“

“High end eating in a small town of wine country. Would happily return if in the area. Full cocktail menu. Many local wines. Friendly staff. I got the pork chop which I normally wouldn't get out, but it was so delicious. Great mustard seasoning with baked apples on top with a plate of spaetzle. Great after a day of wine tasting to refuel.“

“We ate outside on the patio and had a very relaxing meal. The mushroom bruschetta was amazing, as were the grilled shrimp. They have a great selection of local beers and wines, and a killer 20 year old tawny port. Our favorite dish was the mixed berry cobbler.“

“considering the place updated, or fancy and painted in horrible colors the food was surprisingly amazing. Wasn't fond of having to stand in line to order and pay before getting served and then wait to be seated, very strange way of doing things, but the food was amazing...“

“We inhaled our sandwich so fast i didn’t get a picture… and that never happens with me ?A casual, lovely, cute lunch joint. We were just driving through the area on our way to Lake Tahoe and happened to pull in, but I saw a whole bunch of regulars and all the sandwiches/snacks i saw people getting looked amazing. We had the big bravo which was a well balanced spicy Italian. Very fresh and the sourdough was delicious. Toasted crisp and still bite-soft inside.Came with a side of potato salad which hubs also loved. It’s hard to impress us with sandwiches given i’m from New York and hubs is from Los Angeles but we liked this place a lot and would def come back.. maybe even an intentional stop - to eat here again. The doggo in the garden (leashed and in the shade) is also soo cute and friendly. Here’s the video i got of her :))“

“Top notch establishment in all regards! A round of applause to the Chef and kitchen team, the menu options are broad yet cohesive and the execution of the food is exquisite! We enjoyed every single item from the soup of the day to the entrees to the delectable desserts! The atmosphere is classy in a casual way, feel free to dress up or just be comfortable. They have a fun bar area with a TV and plenty of great bourbon and other spirits, the menu of cocktails is a great mix of custom, classic & creative. And their dining area includes a lovely fireplace, mountain style architecture with distressed brick, love it!Service is fast, friendly and enjoyable, from the hostess, to the servers to the bar tenders, great all around!!“

“We loved it here! Cool, lively place. Sports on the TV's. The food was great and the portions were very generous so prices are good. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. My friend and I lovedddd our bloody Mary's (Motherload). Good ratios and the bacon was cooking perfectly and it has a sweetness to it. We were all very happy with our burgers/sandwiches as well. Great flavor, cooked with a little pink like we asked. My friend has the Amador burger which she said was not overly spicy. The waitress gave her a heads up that the jalapeños they use are pretty spicy so she got them on the side and she was right! So my friend was able to add the jalapeños to her burger to taste. At our table we ordered regular fries, sweet potato fries, and garlic parm and they were all awesome! Cooked perfectly with a little crisp but not too much. Would definitely come back here!“

“We've been excited to visit this relatively new place for months. Pioneer is only a 10 minute drive up the mountain (North on Hwy CA88 from Pune Grove). Impressed from the moment we pulled into a recently renovated campus consisting of a motel & the restaurant. Clean and fresh were my first thoughts as my grandson & I parked comfortably in the front. Upon entering, "Dining" was our destination as we proceeded forward, passing a sign for "Bar" to our right. It was a Friday late afternoon, and the festive yet contolled libation was underway as the end of the week celebrating was underway. Happiness surrounded us as we proceeded down the hallway to our dining destination. We were there for a late lunch, knowing we missed the busy time hours before. Greeted pleasantly and seated right away to dig into the menu that had many appetizing and familiar names. We kept it simple... we were there for "fries and milkshakes." These were our go-to when rating grandson approval destinations. Unfortunately, our host informed us right away that "shakes" were part of their future plans but not available at this time. No problem, my grandson reviewed his kids' menu, I the adults', Fish 'n Chips were chosen by both of us. Huge portions were served to us rapidly, and we indulged our time in glee; outstanding food. Our service was friendly, informed us well with answers to our questions, and shared in neighborly conversation that reminds us why we like this area so much. The atmosphere was clean, beautiful, and inviting. There's a newness to our surroundings with an obvious attention to detail. Great view of a meadow surrounded by a Pine tree Forrest. Again, it seemed fresh and peaceful, gazing out the windows anticipating the 4 seasons of change. We talked about returning and bringing the family with us; the breakfast menu looked intriguing! Prices were average, maybe on the high side, but isn't everything these dates.Kid-friendliness: The kids' menu had large portions :)Wheelchair accessibility: Yes and easy to navigate throughout“

“Stopped here for lunch on our way to nearby San Andreas. When we arrived, it wasn't too busy and we were told to sit anywhere we'd like. The server came to us and gave us our menus. She was extremely friendly and attentive. I personally ordered the Girlie Dog which came with bleu cheese crumbles and bacon bits. We also had their poutine, which wasn't traditionally made but it still tasted good. I also ordered their chile limon fries which were basically just fries with tajin on them but they were yummy. The entire time we were there, our server was attentive and friendly and always checked in on us. If we had any questions, she was able to answer them with ease. I think she made the experience much better. It was nice to find another gourmet hot dog place we could enjoy as we have been searching for one after we frequented one in Southern California. We will definitely be coming back the next time we're in town.“

“This restaurant is located in the back of the casino: walk through the casino then head to the right and there will be elevators in the back right - take the elevator up to the 2nd floor and the restaurant is that entire area when the elevator doors open! We make a reservation on Open Table in advance and got seated right away. They are only open for dinner. The menu is varied and plentiful! The favorite things we ordered were: - 10/10 Fresh Hearth Baked Bread with whipped sea salt butter & garlic herb dip = a bummer the bread ins't complementary ($7) but the taste was 10/10 - 10/10 Prime Rib = delicious and perfectly cooked with a side of baked potato and veggies - 10/10 Prawn Scampi Fettuccine: lemon wine pan sauce with house made lemon pepper pasta and spinach = delicious and very flavorful - 1/10 House Made Potato Gnocchi = my Dad is Italian and was very disappointed that this gnocchi was fried and served dry like a tater tot with zero sauce which was quite unlike the gnocchi he is used to - this was more tater tot than pasta but our wonderful waitress was nice and brought us sauce (that still didn't make it taste better) and finally just took it off our bill so we didn't have to pay for it That brings me to service: The service is outstanding! We had Jennifer C as our server and she was very attentive, friendly and really made us feel valued as customers. The ambiance was nice and they have both tables and big booths. Overall it was a delicious meal and this is the nicest restaurant in the area in our opinion.“
“Went with my husband on my birthday and really liked the ciders and food. It was late so we were so happy to find something open that was still serving food! it made my birthday the best night! They said they are dog friendly so next time we plan to bring our dogs and hang out in the back by the fire. So glad they opened and have music as well! Also I let them know I couldn't find them on yelp yet so hopefully people are finding them.“

“Gooney's Bar is an oasis and welcome mirage in the relatively deserted Foothill region. Not only is the cabin-like decor of this bar/restaurant very aesthetically pleasing and instantly welcoming, the bathrooms are so clean, well-kept and sanitized you will wonder if you stumbled into a medical plaza rather than a bar. Owing to the gregarious and attentive owner, as well as the young, but very professional bartenders, Gooney's has created the comfort and atmosphere of a dive bar, without the grime and occasional hiccups that often plague those establishments. The food is varied and delicious and the fairly-priced craft beers and cocktails are always spot on. Whether you're a regular or just passing through, I can promise a great experience and you might just leave with a new friend or two.“

“Very happy with our last several visits. Everything has been fresh, flavorful, on time and service is good! It's a little bit pricey so when we have a large group, we go to Perko's. But the Highway House has a cleaner atmosphere and fresher food.“

“Wow! We just happened into Renegade today, and I am so glad we did. The patio was super cute, and very dog friendly. I was also so excited to see how many good gluten free options there were...and they actually tasted good! Their wines are equally as delicious...my favorites were the Pinotage, Tempranillo, and Mixed Breed Red. The service was awesome, and everyone is super friendly. We will definitely be back on our next trip!“
