The serve is amazing! Great vibes, good drinks, delicious food, and everything is pretty professional. Feels like home, but also feels like a good time out!

Incredible service and the Birria Quesadilla was fire. Go on a night where there is a game and get access to a specially priced food menu! The owners get all the produce themselves and sometimes even do to farmer’s markets in dtla.

Service was quick and helpful The bar was chill, full but easily got a table there was 6 of us so we had to yell over music a bit to communicate which isn't always funWe were mostly there for food which was great Def a saving grace when everything around there closes at 1030ish The birria quesadilla, chefs kissThe torta was a amazing as wellWould come back again after a night in the strip

Called them to make a reservation on a Wednesday, which happened to be trivia night. Being that I had two newborn babies with me I had to sit outside but luckily we were offered a heat up. Matt, the manager, assisted us as well as he could being that it was very busy night. I was a little annoyed that we had to constantly keep going inside to get their attention almost like we have been forgotten. The birria tacos were delicious. I ended up also getting pozole which ended up being a total miss. I did not have the hominy that's supposed to come with this dish when I sent it back they looked at me like it was crazy. I a Mexican and I grew up with this dish so I know what it's supposed to look like and it looked nothing like bowl of pozole. When they brought it back, there was literally like five pieces of it inside my soup. I didn't order a big bowl of oil and meat which ended up just being the case. Pozoles main two ingredients are meat and a solid base of hominy which was non existent.Do NOT get the horchata it was absolutely disappointing and it's a glorified cup of sprinkled cinnamon and white water that tasted nothing like horchata. Also disappointed in their service... whether it's trivia night or not, they should attend to all customers equally and not forget about those outside. Would I come back here again? Maybe? I don't know...Doubt it.

Went on a Wednesday which happened to be Trivia night so ended up sitting out side. The owner, Matt, ended up being our server and was nice enough to give us a heater. Prior to him becoming our server, we were waiting about 15 minutes for someone to help us. We ordered the birria tacos, Pozoloe, and 2 enchiladas. The Birria tacos were bomb diggity bomb, but not worth 5 dollars each given the size. Our pozole did not come with one pozole, had to send back to kitchen to add and onl t recieved back a small handful that was added to the soup. The pozole was loaded with meat. My parents shared the enchiladas and finished them, so I assumed they were good. Matt provided overall great service and the trivia night inside looked poppin. Definitely would come back to try the loaded fries because of a lit of reviews on how good they are.

Great place to eat and a great specials during the week. Located in a good area in Monrovia and not too loud or crazy. Gonna keep coming back.Parking: Looks of spots on street and side of the buisness.

The service was great. The wait staff was super attentive and responsive. The ambiance was perfect for a place like this. Music at appropriate volume to keep conversations manageable. However. The food was bar food. I understand that alcohol pays the bills but the food came out of a frozen bag and reheated on the skillet. Nothing seemed original or fresh cooked on the premises. I was full but not satisfied.

Had an amazing time here! Fantastic happy hour with friendly and attentive staff. Drink recommendations were spot-on. Happy hour extended due to the great vibe and delicious drinks. Appetizers like cantina fries, chips, salsa, and asada quesadilla were all delicious. A must-visit spot! Sadly, I only captured one picture of my watermelon Margarita.

First time at Knight Cap! I think this will be one of my go-tos esp during HH.FOOD: -cantina asada fries during HH $10: i.. LOVED this! They have more fatter fries and they were all SO crisp (not like chips or well-done fries cause i'm not too into that, but where it's CRISP on the outside and there's still nice potato in the inside). Carne asada was tender and not fatty-squishy which I liked! ANd the amount of pico they give was lovellleleyyy!! I got sour cream on the side as that's not my fave, but my partner loved eating it so that was a nice bonus. I like their salsa verde (green sauce) and that just poured all over was good.-surf n turf burrito no HH deal: I took a bite and it was very full and rich! partner said that there wasn't enough rice for him, but he still liked it and said he wanted to try other burritos so that's nice! the chips/sauces as a side was also nice too!DRINKS in HH: -knight cerveza: $5 crisp, good, solid beer!-wine: $6 decent red wine, there was a bit of something in my drink and server quickly and nicely remedied the situation and even added a bit extra just for the inconvenience which I thought was kind!OVERALL: price point is a bit higher than other places I think, but on HH it's worth it and the amount of food, at least for me, felt worth it! Would want to try more of their drinks in the future too : )

Some of the best potato tacos. Rice and beans are well seasoned without being overly salty. Taco Tuesday night is the best!

We stumbled upon Knight Cap when they first opened and it's one of our favorite places to go for some great food and drinks! The owners, Matt and Melissa are absolutely amazing-- super friendly and attentive. They are constantly looking for ways to improve their restaurant for example, Taco Tuesday deals, Trivia night, Brunch Menu on weekends, and having a live DJ at night. What a vibe! The fastest way to my heart is through my stomach-- food is delicious! My go-to is their Birria Taco and Quesadilla. Don't get me wrong, everything is delicious! Tbh we come here at least once a week just to get our fix.

First...shout to Melissa, our server who was full of smiles and great service!!This was my and my husband's first time at Knight Cap and won't be our last. Started with the $10 (what a deal!) Bay Breezie cocktail. I had the Birria Burrito, which was so fantastic my knees went weak! Shredded beef that had tons of flavor, was juicy and tender. Now, this part is a big thing for me,..it had refried beans inside which, in my opinion, is the bomb! I don't like black or pinto while in my burrito, so it was a great surprise! Hubby had the surf and turf burrito, and although he said it was good, will have the birria next time. Lots of tvs playing sports, clean tables and great prices. We'll be back!
