Who could possibly leave this place a negative review?! We just went for lunch and this place is AMAZING. Food was delicious! Better than I expected and the portions are huge. I had a steak quesadilla which was superb. My husband had tacos and we had a side order of plantains. It was a ton of food but we enjoyed it all. The variety is also great. The person who took our order was super friendly and helpful. He refilled our horchata when it was low and was attentive. The space has lots of light and is a fun spot to enjoy a meal. So happy to have another amazing business in Monrovia ?

Seriously the best tacos I've had in 9 years since I moved here from Az. Eating them brought me back to a happy happy time in my childhood. I highly recommend this place.

Tacos are honestly over priced $3.50 for a small taco that don’t really taste good and salsa is basically water tbh but other than that staff is really friendly, it’s a clean place and they have free refill on agua frescas so 3/5 for

Super nice people and the food options look great with nice presentation. I had the 3 fish taco special and watermelon drink. Lots of un-bussed tables and no clean place to sit. So I had to sit at a dirty table. Yuck I guess that means they are busy and I’m happy for them. But the floor was also dirty and hadn’t been cleaned for quite awhile.Parking: Busy street but you can find parking not too far away.

For a restaurant that recently reopened the food was terrible. I ordered myself a burrito, but meat was uncooked, and it was mostly onion and cilantro on it. The service wasn’t great. The only good thing I found to be was the Agua fresca and the way the decorating the restaurant.

The first review I gave this place was 7 years ago the first time I tried a Tlayuda made me a fan of this place. This grand opening in Monrovia was long waited and I have to express my disappointment with the removal of certain menu items. To start off with no more torta chilanga, popusas, no more moronga etc. these options obviously were more of a hit with the latino community. The new menu caters to the other demographic of the area which is more of a Chipotle restaurant styled menu. The biggest question here is why the change of menu? I mean I went today and the nachos didn't look like the old style menu served nachos they looked like Taco Bell styled nachos! They even have a tostada bowl?? Say what?? Yes a tostada bowl, who else serves tostada bowls??? El Pollo LocoIt is very obvious what happened here and it should not have happened this place was great the way it was I will take the old Diablo over this gentrified version any day of the year.Sad to say I don't think this will be my go to spot anymore it now became my last resort spot I was incredibly happy to see the reopening only to be thrown into this sold out taqueria who forgot about their main customers the Latino who made it there to get a feel of home in a not so home neighborhood.
