I love this place <3 the lady is so sweet and it’s one of the few places you can find a pandan mochi waffle in SoCal! She remembers my order even tho I only come to Pomona a few times a year

2nd time walking into this establishment, I really enjoyed the iced vanilla cafe late(boba is optional), and the service here has been consistently kind. I will be coming back on my breaks. Since it's just a walking distance to me. There's other stuff i'd to explore on their menu.

Had Halo Halo, same taste as other Bambu's but some added ingredients. Really good! Pandan Jelly was hard, unacceptable.

Never have I ever had an unchelicious order until I came here on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered #1,6,10, and 12. 1,6,10 are our usuals and 12 was new for us. The lady who took my order wasn't particularly welcoming. She later told me that she ran out of pandan jelly and asked if I could wait another 10 minutes (on top of the already 15 minutes) as she cooks more. I waited of course. EVERY Bambu I've been to has packed crushed ice into the domed lids and or offers extra crushed ice separately. My order had small mounds of crushed ice that melted and barely reached the tops of each cup. I don't see the point of putting a domed lid on each cup when there's nothing filling in it? The che was warm. Ugh. Apparently the lady put the warm pandan jelly that she just cooked into my che drinks. I think she was short staffed as she seemed to work the front and then disappear to the back. I didn't want to wait another 10 minutes to talk to her so I left. Huge disappointment. I won't be returning.

The Smashed Avocado Chè, or Vietnamese dessert drink/pudding, that I had was made with simply avocado, crushed ice, condensed milk, and rainbow/coffee jelly -- I'd say it's a more modernized and complex take on a classic throw-together ASEAN dessert that usually consists of avocado, ice cubes, milk, and sugar. My honest opinion is that I wasn't a fan of this particular drink, as it didn't have the sweetness i was looking forward to. Every bite just felt like... avocado (seemingly so), although it was nothing too exceptional. Maybe the fruit just wasn't sweet at the time, but it might be just the one for someone who likes more mild desserts. Even then, it was still refreshing! The bitter-sweetness from the coffee jelly, the chew from the honey boba, and crushed ice really do add much needed textural variety to the summer drink! Next time I'll order a more traditional style dessert like Chè Ba Mau from here! They do have a great selection of desserts and drinks to choose from, so I look forward to trying them out. This time around, simple was just too simple for me.

What is it with Koreans and rude customer service? I thought this is Vietnamese dessert but the Korean lady was there making the drink looked pissed for some reasons and the drinks are the worse I've had I used to live in Westminster and get this almost every week. The ingredients looks old and nasty, won't be coming back with that type of customer service and food quality

I was so excited to find out there is a BAMBU located in the Inland Empire vicinity... to be exact, in the city of Montclair where I used to live when I was a little girl. I used to go to the BAMBU located in San Gabriel and Arcadia, but they both have closed down either during COVID-19 lockdown or shortly after release from lockdown. It's sad that many businesses did not make it during the unprecedented pandemic period. I wish them well. I am grateful for the businesses that did plow through and made it... I wish them continued success. Okay, back to this review... my first time here. When I first walked into this BAMBU, I felt like I was walking into a little shop on a deserted island. The place looked very dated and somewhat dingy... kinda sad and gloomy atmosphere... the wall colors and furniture didn't help. The lady who took my order didn't look too happy at first... she may have been the owner or manager. She was the only person in the shop... I didn't see anyone else in the back. I ordered a total of 5 drinks plus 2 pandan waffles. I always get the No. 1 Bambu Special and No. 13 Longan Sunrise. This time I also got No. 10 Bambu Favorite and No. 15 Bambu Halo Halo. Please note the number may be different when you go there... who knows... just look for the name. Unfortunately, I didn't get the same great tasting Bambu that I used to get in the past from the other locations. All the drinks were lacking some sweetness, the longans were not very fresh... they taste watered down except for the halo halo. Pandan waffles were denser than I would have liked. I was kinda disappointed with the drinks. I asked the lady to separate the ice from the drinks since I had to drive an hour+ to get home. She was kind enough to do that. Thank you! As I was walking out the door, I thanked her and smiled at her and she smiled back at me... I was happy to see that. Well, I did spend almost $50 on drinks + waffles. I hope this BAMBU makes it and business booms. Otherwise, I will have to go to Garden Grove, Westminister, or Las Vegas to get my Bambu groove on LOL... the drive will be a tad farther, but I'll have to make do and maximize my presence when I'm there. When you're in the Montclair area and you want to try some Vietnamese desserts and sweets, swing on by here and try a few things out. The quality may be better for you. Good luck! Happy Bambu'ing!

I wanted to have vietnamese waffles and found this place. The green waffles tasted real good. It was a lot and didn't taste like it had too much flour. I also got liquid dessert with jello and beans. It tasted fine. The reason for 3 stars is bc they take forever making my food and drinks and it's super pricey.

Stopped here for a quick treat of halo halo and so glad we did! Our halo halo was well balanced, not too sweet but creamy and full of delicious jelly, pudding and whatever other magic is in there. Definitely a hidden gem, I’ll be visiting again soon!
