Great customer service. No long wait time for tamales. A little bit of wait time for menudo. Didn't know I had to ask for the hominy in it. Not crazy about their soft tacos but the menudo is good. Their Champurado is pretty good too and I will give their avena another try. It's good but I'm used to one from another place.

Canela Bakery is one of the greatest businesses that could have ever opened in Montebello. It's hard to find a spot with great quality authentic Mexican food and bread. Not only is the food amazing but this place has the nicest employees and owner that make you feel welcomed and comfortable. Food is always fresh and the large variety of dishes is spectacular! I've been a customer for almost 3 years now and I've never had any problems with my Canelas Bakery!!! As a person of my word, Canela Bakery is an amazing place truthfully and anyone who reviews otherwise is not writing a true review, take it from a true customer of 3 years this bakery is a true 5 star business.

I had a disappointing experience at Canela bakery. They initially prepared my food incorrectly. I called them to make them aware my order was incorrect. I was asked to come back to have this issue, resolved once I arrived they took my food to fix it instead of offering a new, correct order. This approach made me feel uncomfortable and dissatisfied with the service. It would have been better if they had provided a fresh and accurate dish without any inconvenience. A person who appeared to be the owner came out and tried to argue with me about how my request asking for a new fresh, correct order was wrong of me. I explained that my request was the most rational thing to do. Why would you take the food back and put your business in a position where you're cross contaminating food that is going back into your kitchen.I will not be going back. It's unfortunate I gave them so much business. Over the past few years.

This is a cute Mexican bakery that I had been to before. We were passing by and decided to try a tamale. I got the red pork and JJ got the green Chile and cheese (Rajas) ($2.50 each). I also love pan dulce, and got a concha, and JJ got a peanut butter cookie.Sadly, the pork tamale was extremely dry (the meat). The masa was good however, and flavorful. I did eat the whole thing though, but would definitely not recommend this and would never get it again. The pan dulce- concha was also very disappointing. It was a bit stale, and I wouldn't recommend this either.JJ however, enjoyed his green Chile and cheese tamale. He said it was good, but I didn't taste it. He also said the peanut butter cookie was good. I did taste this, and it was good. Very soft and crumbly..tasty overall. The interior has a few small tables where you can sit down and eat. Nice ambience. They also have their own parking lot.I wouldn't completely rule out Canela's Bakery, as there are some items that are good. You'd have to try it out for yourself if you happen to be in the area.

Pan dulce aka.,concha's., are consistently being overcooked and even appear to be burned. Taste has even fallen out on their bread products. This happens when you purchase the inferior flour for your customers and do not properly attend to your baking temperature and mixing requirements. Simply going down hill fast like other FastTrack store fronts in the Montebello region which use current economics as an excuse for us, the paying consumers.Submitted...

The tamales are very good. And the pan dulce was very soft and fresh. At least when I went in October they had pan de muerto and I don't normally find that at other bakeries.Wheelchair accessibility: Open inside makes it easy to move around. The parking lot isn't the easiest because doors open into the entrance path.
