Food was excellent and staff very friendly. Traveling for work and not knowing the area is always difficult so finding this place is a hidden gem. Food reminds me of comfort food and loved it.
Miki chans is the best ... The food is excellent.. Especially the bbq pork... The lady thats always taking the orders is so sweet and has excellent customer service... If ur around Montebello and looking for some great Chinese food .. Go here .. I highly recommend it...

So we saw a review done by "Grub with Greg", a guy we follow on Instagram. Usually, the foods he reviews look amazing - which was the case with Miki Chan's.Well, we were kinda disappointed from the moment we walked in. The place was kinda dingy looking, crates stacked at the entrance, and chairs lined up to keep you away from the glass case where the foods were.Some of the foods that were recommended by Grub with Greg didn't look very fresh - like they had been sitting for a little while - like the ribs, which I was looking forward to trying, but they didn't look very appealing. We ended up getting a two item meal with the Hawaiian noodles with pork, the BBQ pork and teriyaki chicken. I also got a side of orange chicken and a chicken eggroll -- our food came to 18 dollars and change.The noodles were just ok, the BBQ pork was disappointing since it really looked good, but it was so dry, the teriyaki chicken was tasty and not dry, and the orange chicken was just ok. The chicken egg roll was just ok - I didn't really notice chicken - it did had a strong ginger flavor though.We picked up our food around 7pm - possibly if you get there earlier, the food might be a little fresher. It seems that people like this place, so I guess we just caught them at an off time.The lady behind the counter was very nice! I really wanted this food to be amazing because she was so sweet! Kinda bummed it was such a disappointment!

Man I came to get food for my family and I've come here before and the food was great, but this time holy. Barely put any meat in my box and filled it up 3.8 our of 5 of the box with rice and noodles. Twice the amount of rice mind you. The bbq pork was bright red with no char. Looked dull and been there the whole day. The teriyaki chicken was bland and tasted old. Even the noodles were bland. They charge 6. 80 for a small side of chow meimean, which is aloutrageous from any other places I've been to. 2/10 won't ne coming back. 3 combos and a side of small chowmein for 40 dollars? No thanks

The place looked promising as a Hawaiian Chinese/Japanese takeout place but this was so bad, even by takeout standards! I would have enjoyed a box of Panda Express 10x more than this. The bbq pork was tough and flavor wasn't good, the chow mein was lacking in flavor, and omg the salad? They tasted like pure salt. Like someone accidentally dumped a whole container of salt when they were making a batch of salad and decided to roll with it. Which is bad enough on its own but it even made the stuff around it that it touched salty. Eww. The only thing that was ok was the macaroni salad, at least they didn't mess that up. Like really, I don't think I've had food so bad in a long time. Idk if it used to be good and went downhill, if it's wildly hit or miss, or if like someone else said, they pay for reviews. The lady serving me was nice at least. There's no ambiance because it's takeout only and all the chairs are covered in plastic. The boxes don't close properly and the sauce leaked so much into the bag. I only spent about $20 for 2 large takeout boxes worth of food but it still feels like I spent too much here. Never again.

Unfortunately this place is not the same for me anymore. I went yesterday and the food was so nasty I had to throw it away. The broccoli beef had a fishy taste then I smelled it and it sure smelled like fish even the noodles smelled like fish. I will not be going to this place anymore. Besides the lady helping me out she was being rude and kept on telling me things like when I asked for soy sauce and hot sauce she said didn’t you see me put it in the bag then I said no I didn’t she said well you were sure staring at me packing the bag so I assumed you saw me and I told her no sorry I was reading all the little signs you guys had up on the window when paying she said then I did put some. She put in the bag only 2 hot sauce and 2 soy sauce and I asked her can i please have more cause I had 3 full plates and a side then she started telling me we are short I can only give you 2 more. I said ok thank you. I have never experienced this place being so rude and the food tasting so NASTY. I was so embarrassed to even call to complain especially how she treated me.

The service was good the food looked good after getting home tried the food not so well. I only ate a bit of the rice chow mein was not good and the broccoli was bad the chicken was over cooked. Threw it away that was bad for $9.80.
