Came here after a hectic day to get my daughter a kids meal to go. After i ordered and waited 15 min another cashier told me they don't do Kids meals to go. Said nothing they can do and gave me a refund. Asked to talk to the manager and she just shrugged and looked a cook. Honestly i loved coming here before with my family but you have lost my business and respect.

Spend your money elsewhere. Seriously, there are much better Japanese restaurants here with similar prices. Ordered a teriyaki bento and got served with cold rice and watery “teriyaki” chicken lol. I also asked the guy who served our food if my wife and I could switch to the other table, he said no. There’s literally nobody sitting or waiting on the table behind us. I politely asked because the sun is hitting the back of my neck and it’s not comfortable. I’m never coming back here. Would not recommend. Go a little further like in Monterey Park, tons of better restaurants there with better food and better staff.

Food was decent, but the service is a 0/10. Literally had to get up multiple times to ask for things because the server kept forgetting. At the end when I asked, the guy literally laughed, and I asked if I had something funny? He kept assisting the people around us and would literally skip over us. Definitely won't be back.

For constantly deleting my good reviews to manipulate your rating, and giving me food poisoning, much fewer stars.The waitresses here are lazy and didn't want to service me because I was in the furthest corner. There were only 3 tables (5 customers total) they had to look after in the restaurant. They just talked to each other, probably gossiping.

We always get Samurai sushi either if it's to go or we go and have dinner at the restaurant. Always very delicious and never disappointed! And very friendly staff too

Got to go:- Spicy tuna was good and you get 8 pieces. - Yellow Rose Roll ($15) was disappointing- the yellowtail on top was fishy and not exactly the best quality. Because I was looking up the menu online to order over the phone, I could not find any clear or recent pictures of the menu. I ended up referring to a menu picture posted 12 months ago where the description of rolls was blurry. Maybe I was expecting too much but for a $15 roll I thought the yellow Rose roll would have fish inside the roll, so I was disappointed to find out there was only fish on top of the roll. You do get a good amount of avocado inside though. Hard to get through to them over the phone and thankfully they picked up on the 5th try when I just about to make the drive, since my boss really wanted it.

I love samurai sushi. I'm there about once a week. They have the best baked mussels and bamboo roll. The saki bombs keep coming. Damaris is the cutest sweetest waitress, really the entire crew. I highly recommend this gem.

This is long over due. This establishment has done poorly. The last few times my mango, avocado salad has had NO DRESSING on the side as well as my vegetable tampura roll. I called to ask if the dressing has been omitted or they forgot to put it in. The young lady said as if she was bothered by the call and said " sorry". Ok, well I said if she can take my name so that maybe next time I can get a discount for this happening too many times. She didn't want to until I mentioned it again. She said " ok, so what's your name?" in a sarcastic tone. This place has had new employees come and go. I never see the same people. I'm so disappointed in this place because Montebello doesn't have many Japanese restaurants that are local to me. This place doesn't deserve a star. I'm only putting one star in order to post this!

The food sucks!!! Costco instant yakisoba is better!!! The chicken kastu is probably cook a week ago or more far. Too dry. The server lazy too rude. We ordered before 1:00pm, the food served 1:37 after all the table which was later than us has served. 100% the server forgot our order. During waiting, didn’t serve water, lemon, water temperature… we had to tell again and again.PLEASE DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!
