I had a meeting about a block away from here and when I came out of it, there was a delicious smell in the breeze coming from this bakery. My sweet tooth kicked in so I made my way over. The outside is unassuming but very cute and clean inside. One wall had all of their pudding cups sold out for the day which told me they must be good. As a Filipino who has had a lot of mango in my life, Venecia has THE BEST mango cake in the LA area. It's made with the lightest sponge cake, whipped cream icing, filled and topped with a ton of the sweetest mango ever.

The best Mango Vanilla Cake EVER!!! The mango is ripened to perfection with lots in every layer, the vanilla cake is perfectly moist, the icing is made with the right amount of sweet fluffiness and all combine into a perfectly delicious mango cake. A must have every November when in L.A., a 7 year tradition and going!!!
