I guess we got lucky as the service was excellent. I will say I think it is a bit pricey for me. I thought the quality of food was very good.

It's been awhile since I've gone to these classic Cantonese restaurants. Usually I would go to these type of places with my family because the dishes are meant for family style. I was able to check out this place with a group of friends. We rented out a separate room for the large party. We got their set menu that included 10items for $658: appetizer combo platter(5item), Peking Duck, baked truffle oil lobster with noodle, mixed seafood crab soup, scallop and shrimp corn, snow pea leaf with golden crab meat sauce, Chiu Chow style steamed whole black cod, filet mignon cubes in black pepper sauce, and Taiwanese style BBQ eel top on sticky rice, sesame rice ball sweet soup. They gave us tanyuan in sweet egg soup as dessert as well as the passion fruit jello. Overall, I think the quality of the food was pretty decent. I really enjoyed the food here. It's definitely on the expensive side. They also provided really good service to us. One of the waiter Vin Chee even performed a small magic show to us at the end. He's an aspiring actor from Singapore. My overall experience was very positive. We stayed from 12:00 to almost 3:00. I would bring my family back here. Also, there's a lot of celebrities that eaten here. I think that's pretty cool.

My husband and I have been going here for years, and ever since we moved away, we've been missing it. We made a special trip out last night while in LA and it was SOOOO good. Come for the Peking Duck, and as a courtesy, call in advance (the day before if you can) to let the restaurant know you'll be ordering it. When you arrive, the duck will be ready, which is a truly delightful experience. Every dish at Duck House is fantastic, and over the years, we've tried as much of the menu as we possibly can. From the Mapo Tofu to the Sweet Corn Soup to the Konnyaku Salad to the Scallion Pancakes, there's no wrong answer here. Order anything and you will not be disappointed. Thanks to everyone who works there for the warm hospitality, and a special thanks to our waiter Vin, who was not only nice and funny, but did some magic tricks for the large group next to ours that was out celebrating a birthday!

The photo looks better than tastes. The price is reasonable. The place is small but clean. Not the top for Peking Duck.

The place is mostly meat based but there’s a few vegetarian dishes. Spicy eggplant and Mapo tofu were really good!Parking in the lot is tight but there’s plenty of street parking!

Had an unforgettable dinner experience at the Lu Ding Ji Chinese Restaurant in Los Angeles tonight! We ordered the special Peking duck, one duck and two. The crispy roast duck is unforgettable and the duck soup is fragrant and delicious. The owner's warmth and friendliness made the entire meal more enjoyable. What was even more surprising was that the owner also generously presented delicious rice cakes for dessert, which was a perfect ending to the entire dinner. Highly recommend this five-star Chinese restaurant, it is definitely a model of taste and service!

Not a surprise restaurant, to me, it’s just an average restaurant. The fish included in the set dinner menu, was kept in the refrigerator for more than five or six days (to my experience), totally unacceptable. The so called Duck House, supposedly is considered the main attraction, unfortunately do not expect that would happen. Generally speaking, serving Peking Duck, the kitchen has to roast the duck, and bring it to the table, and cut it into pieces in front of the customers with extremely hot. This restaurant just pre cooked and served as a pizza arrangement. Well, I don’t think it’s the best way to serve a Peking Duck, or maybe it’s the only way you can get it here.

They have unfortunately gotten greedy with their $79 peking duck but it is indeed the best in town. It used to be… $46! (Check the photo)

Over price Peking duck. Duck is not that good, it has the game smell. Can’t believe I spend $150 for one peking duck and walnut mayo shrimp. Service was good but charge $17.09 extra for service fee. I will never going back again. I should settle with the NBC restaurant across the street and get more foods for $150
