It's ashamed this place is going away because the mall is closing. Let's hope they find another location or alternatively have a happy retirement.

Love their custard obanyaki. Best eaten right away. Wish there was one closer to home.

Dessert was actually pretty tasty, but the two people working did not seem like they wanted to be there. They were not helpful/friendly which was surprising because we were literally the only customers while there. It does take at least 10-15 minutes to get order so consider that too when going.

When getting our food there was a bit of a wait but I didn't mind since there is a seating area. The matcha obanyaki was pretty good and I loved the Cookie Monster ice cream. The ube horchata was ok tho, haven't tried their other drinks.

It was average at best. I enjoyed the concept and their desert was average. I will go back again and try different deserts and update. It's not bad just not my first pick

First time coming and it's a decent small shop. There wasn't much people when I arrive, although there was quite a bit of wait time. I ordered the number one and everything tasted great. Everything was freshly made.

I was in the area and I've been wanting to try My Obanyaki's wheel cakes and support small biz owners. I went on a weekend so there are tons of parking and there is a parking structure towards the back. Mr Obanyaki is located towards the front facing Atlantic Ave. Your wheel cakes are made after you order and it takes at least 15-20. If you are in a hurry, I would not suggest you to come here. - Black Sesame Milk Tea - It was ok, hint of black sesame so it's not overpowering- Ube Horchata - this was pretty good and it's not too sweet- the 3 packs of obanyaki ($9.58) - matcha coconut was pretty good, taro was really good with real chunks of taro, black sesame was my least fav. I opt to eat our obanyaki and drinks at the shop , it is recommended to eat it while it's hot. They were very generous with the wheel cake fillings, I really appreciate the amount of filling they gave. The drinks were buy 1 get 2nd 50% off, it's a great deal . They do take credit cards but will charge $1 on all cards. They do not take AMEX cards. Overall, it was a good experience, but will be back to try other flavors if I'm in the area.

We were in the Los Angelas area and could not miss a chance to try Obanyaki. We tried 3 different flavors and all were very tasty. Had a chance to meet the owners who were great people. If your in the LA area take the time to stop by you won't regret it.Thank you from Scott and Cynthia from Minnesota!

We came here to try their Obanyaki - the dessert was fine and fulfilled a craving, but it didn't quite stand out to me like I expected to. The filling was fine and there was a wait to get our dessert, which we expected. Some tables and chairs inside to sit and indulge in your dessert.

This place looks super cute and good over yelp and on pictures but it was a complete 180 when going in person. We went for their drinks not their obanyaki. The shopping center itself is in a odd location/layout but if you park in the main lot and walk around the building you can find it! Walking in, the worker was very standoffish. Asking questions he was also very uninterested in anything and it seemed like we were bothering him just being there. Their drinks do not have milk substitutes and only include half and half. I got the white rabbit milk tea and my boyfriend got the ube horchata. The white rabbit milk tea was very good and tasted accurate! My boyfriends ube horchata unfortunately just tasted like sugar which was disappointing. The obanyaki: you cannot order just 1, you have to order a minimum of 3 for $9 They have all sorts of interesting flavors though and it actually looked and smelled really good. This place has potential but the ambience/vibe was unpleasant. Maybe a little music playing would help too! Hopefully it was just an off day for the worker and things will turn around for them tomorrow.
