Have patience if you don't speak Cantonese. The ladies got frustrated not understanding Mandarin. Do you not see where the finger IS pointing ☝️?

A bit expensive but cheaper than restaurants. Opens at 7:30 a.m. and they take credit cards

Our usual take out dim sum spot was Lucky 1. But we recently found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a shot. Super small restaurant with limited seating. Most of the people get take out. As far as variety and taste, I think this place is better than Lucky 1. It's located next to the GW Market on Atlantic so parking can be a bit crowded sometimes. Service is horrible though and some of the employees are rude. 4 stars for food. 2 stars for service

I was craving some dim sum in the early morning of Thanksgiving so I yelped a place and Ocean Island popped up and it had good reviews so I checked it out.Lo and behold...... I'm always in this plaza for GW market. It's so easy to miss since is so small.Anyways, it was popping and I didn't want to eat toooo much before thanksgiving dinner, so i ordered the BBQ rice noodle and some deep fried dumplings and can't forge the chicken feet!So delicious, came here twice in a week. My new favorite take out dim sum place.

I came here because I was craving dim sum. And my friend had been wanting to try this place. It was interesting to have the dim sum in a display case where you basically point and order instead of having the carts. The dim sum was alright. I'm not sure I'd come back here to have dim sum. But it was pretty affordable so I'd give it that. Did it satisfy my craving? Almost, almost. Ordered shrimp look fun (rice roll) , shrimp har gau, salty egg yolk bun, pork and shrimp sweet rice sticky dumpling. I didn't order the chicken feet so I'm not sure how they were. But my friends seemed to enjoy it. Don't forget the HK milk tea (:

People tell me about this place, but I found it to be average to good.Prices are normal, standard for the area.Foods are typical...nothing to write home about....The item to distinguish a place is haigow. The thickness of the skin is the thing that separates the top from the bottom. This place is a little thick. The thing to look for is convenience and price since quality is about the same everywhere. I have a few good place local in my area. No need to travel to MP.

Found this place on yelp after the dim sum place we wanted to go was closed. I would say the reviews are mostly true. Definitely a spot to check out and try. It's kind of hidden, we were confused because it took us to a market, turns out this place is right next to a large Asian market and if you aren't looking for it you will miss it. The service was friendly and good but there definitely was a language barrier. We thought you could order one item at a time but most of the items come in 3 or 4 quantity so be warned. Shrimp dumpling - 10/10 I do not even care for seafood but this was so good and not fishy at all. The shrimp is warm and it's juicy. Make sure you add some siracha. Chicken bao - 4/10 the chicken inside is good but there isn't a lot of it. The outside is not was moist as most places, definitely too much breading vs protein.

This is the worst Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. We had to wait 30 minutes to try to order food. And then was told to go back to the end of the line. So we left.

I relocated from Florida but I’m originally from Hawaii and Jamaica so I love dim sum and Asian food but can’t find much authentic Asian foods/grocery stores in FL. I live across the street from this place; it’s next to GW Grocery (an Asian grocery store with fruit, vegetables and fish selections that remind me of my islands). The day after I flew in, my boyfriend and I ordered a little of everything from here for breakfast. Everything was delicious. I especially missed having rice wrapped in lotus leaves but I definitely like their steam and fried buns. My eyes were bigger than my stomach the first time so I didn’t finish everything in the photo in one sitting. What we didn’t eat that morning kept well and lasted for about a week. I work from home but I often skip lunch so these are great to heat and eat between tasks. We’ve ordered delivery from here as well as gone there in person. I recommend in person ordering if you are a visual person but beware: everything looks great so you’ll end up ordering more than you intended! The staff are patient if you don’t speak their language; you can point without being misunderstood. Although there are small tables and chairs inside, it’s too small a place for staying to eat. I recommend getting what you want to go; it’s packaged “to go” anyway. Anyway, everything is delicious here so I highly recommend this place.

I came midday on a weekday and it was pretty busy. The shop is small and tucked away in the plaza. Parking was easy with a lot attached. There were about 4 small tables for dine in but all orders are made to go and service was quick. We were attended to in less than 5min and the dim sum was already made in advance in the bamboo steam trays. They just put it into boxes for you as you order. We just ate at an out table after paying. 7/10 Har Gao - it came with 4pc and was really fresh and juicy. The wrap was not too thick and doughy but it was really sticky so it broke up when trying to pick one up. Shrimp filling was good in portion and standard for taste. 8/10 Sui Mai - 4pc and the pork and shrimp filling was juicy! 8/10 Shrimp Noodle Rolls - 3 rolls with good amount of shrimp filling. The noodle roll wrap was also not thick and soft and chewy in texture. 7/10 Taro Pork Ribs - kinda of average and portion size kind of small. Nice try but wouldn't get again unless I was craving. 7/10 Sticky Rice Wrapped in Lotus Leaf - only 2 pcs and also just average sticky rice with small amount of meat filling and slice of Chinese sauce and no egg.All these were B items for $5ea which is on the cheaper side for dim sum nowadays.

One of the best and most authentic-tasting pineapple buns in Los Angeles. The plain bun is delicious. The Salted Egg Yolk Pineapple Bun is heavenly.

Easy parking and convenient location. Open daily 7:30-7:30. Many selections of 1. dim sum, 2. dessert, 3. rice rolls, 4. congee, 5. beverages, 6. kitchen dishes ( noodles, BBQ foods and roasted \\u0026 simmered delicacies ). Standard quality food for a takeout style restaurant. Not too salty and oily. Packages of the dim sum foods are well done. The staffs are very friendly and efficient. Accept credit cards. We don’t like the taste of Fried Taro Cake because it is not crispy at all.
