One of the most striking aspects of Wing Hop Fung is the vast assortment of Chinese herbs available. The store is a treasure trove for herb enthusiasts, featuring an impressive array of dried roots, leaves, flowers, and various other botanicals. Whether you are seeking common herbs like ginseng and goji berries or more exotic ingredients for specific health concerns, Wing Hop Fung is likely to have what you need. The herbs are carefully sourced, ensuring their authenticity and high quality. The prices are reasonable considering the quality and variety of their herb selection. While some rare or premium herbs may be on the pricier side, the majority of products are fairly priced, making it accessible to a wide range of customers.

It's a huge store with many options for Chinese medicinal herbs, kitchenware, good collection tea and etc. Service is terrible-most of the staff members do not speak good English, it's difficult to buy an expensive item without having a good explanation of the quality. I bought a raw bird nest for the first time, and would love to learn more about it but the lady wasn't very helpful in explaining and just pointed out the highest price, has the best quality. Ambiance is good.

A friend of mine brought me here in my quest for Lapsong Souchong tea. Well, it doesn't look like all that from the parking lot, but when I walked in, my first expression was " Oh Wow!" It's places like this that pepper the L.A. landscape with interesting wares that make you feel like you are transported into another country after only a few minutes in the car. Truly, the staff was so helpful and friendly. Walking in we were greeted and I asked about the tea and was directed to the person who knew all! She took us right to the jars. I recommend taking the time to lift the lids and smell the teas. It's really a delight for the senses! The specific tea I was on the hunt for has a deep smoky scent that can be compared to a camp fire. I saw a video of a Michelin Star Chef that uses the tea to season Wild Caught Sockeye Salmon, so I'm going to recreate it. This experience is WAY better than ordering online. I bought some Kunlun Chrysanthemum tea which has many medicinal health benefits, a huge bag is $11. I also indulged in some of my favorite jasmine white tea, a very small bag for the same price. There are many varieties of dried fruits, mushrooms, fish, some of the prices are astronomical, dried Fish Maw is $448 a pound, but one piece is $7.... Royal Silver Needle Tea is $400 a pound... but I'm content with white Jasmine. There's a whole section of herbs and the American Wild Ginseng is $2500 a pound... but who needs a whole pound... No wonder there's security at the door. So happy to discover this place that I must have driven past dozens of times!

If you are looking to buy extravagant and sumptuous ginseng roots from Wisconsin, US of A, you are in the right place. A third of the place is dedicated to ginseng root starting from low-end ginseng root to a very expensive wild ginseng, ginseng root found specifically in the wild forest of Wisconsin. Asians especially Chinese likes to drink ginseng tea for health purposes. I remembered my mother made us ginseng tea every night while we were cramming to take numerous subjects on high school proficiency tests back in Asia. I guess, it did give me long lasting energy to burn the midnight oil to survive the grueling tests. If you are not interested in ginseng root, you may find some interest in exotic liquors that Wing Hop Fung has in its stock. The list of liquor in its stock can counter those in Costco warehouse store. This time, though, we were there to search for another exotic and expensive product -- a can of Calmex Abalone. A can of that abalone can cost you as much as USD $200! Apparently, the Calmex abalone are no longer available in any where but on line! According to the friendly salesman, the Calmex abalone can hadn't been available there for a few years already. So, we ended up just inquiring another abalone brand called Cedmex which was a bit cheaper but it was still in the hundred USD. Since we were there already, we found some tea from all over Asia! One thing to note was that Wing Hop Fung required a membership in order to get discount posted on each item. $1 and phone # was needed for membership. So, if you are buying, might as well get your membership prior to your purchase. For the big purchases in this store, you may want to do your homework before coming to Wing Hop Fung so that you may get a better quality product for cheaper prices. Service was also great, pricy but many exotic products, and above all enjoyed the ambiance when there! I definitely recommend this place for your exotic inquiring mind, & four out of five stars will be my rating for this establishment.

I always love coming here for all their specialty teas, herbs, and alcohol. I grew up going to the one in Chinatown, but that one closed down ages ago.

I've been visiting Wing Hop Fung for many years, as they sell so many Chinese herbs and soup ingredients. The quality is great, and the location is always clean. I never have any issues with their ingredients, but I think the biggest disappointment is that they still don't have tap to pay. In addition, parking can be quite difficult, and if you are bringing anyone elderly, the roads are not particularly nice around the area either.

I live in the Czech Republic and have had the most amazing service and feedback on my purchases. There are items that are next to impossible to purchase in Europe and I am very happy to go long distance to purchase my favorite items here.

Great place to purchase in bulk. They offer some high end wines, Chinese herbs and many variety of teas. I go there to stock up on the Japanese green tea power. There's a lot of random things for the kitchen and pantry. Check it out, it always good to explore new places.

Good products. I used to always go to TS Emporium down the street but I think Wing Hop Fung has better quality items. Since they are higher quality, they are more expensive. They have a good selection of herbs (better than TS Emporium) and a large variety of teas and tea sets. I will be coming here for raw herbs going forwards, much better quality than many other places.

Wing Hop Fung has been my preferred place to buy loose leaf teas for a few years now. They have a wide variety from different origins as well as ones available in different qualities and price ranges. Their staff is usually pretty helpful and will let you taste almost any of the loose leaf teas. Few years ago, i've had seen them have sales up to 50% off specific teas. On the most recent trip, it was 20% off any loose leaf teas. I didn't have any goal in mind in which tea I wanted, i just wanted a variety. Besides a type of "Long Jing" (Dragon Well) I have always wanted to try (one of the few that is preferred to drink "fresh" then "aged"), anything else was up in the air. The guy who helped me states I can buy the teas in any amount/way i wanted, be it by weight or cost. So i just decided to pick 3 teas from the fridge and requested to be around $20 each. Along with the Long Jing, i had picked up a Tie Guan Yin and Supreme Oolong as well. They quickly weighed and bagged each one and off I went. It's crazy how expensive some teas are. Probably never get to try them but at least i can let my eyes see them displayed HAHA Unfortunately due to the shipping and congestion of ports, a lot of their loose leaf teas are unavailable at the time of my visit.

We were here over the Christmas holidays to buy some Chinese dry goods. This store offers a wide selection of sea cucumbers, scallops and shiitake mushrooms. If you enjoy drinking tea, the store carries a variety of teas and clay pot sets. Very friendly staff. We enjoyed shopping here.

Stumbled upon this place when we went to ranch 99 for Chinese herbs. This place offered high quality herbs. If you don't mind paying more for higher quality herbs u gotta check this place out. Most stuffs cost 2-3 times or more than ranch and TS emporium. Certain herbs I'm willing to pay for but not all. For example, a bagged herbal soup mix was $8, given that the quality was good, but $8 is overpriced. Went to ranch 99, got it for $2.99. I picked up a few things for herbal soup, I kinda know they didn't cost awfully more, and the quality seemed good. There's also a huge variety of boxed medicines, which I have no clue about, high quality teas that were over $1000, Chinese wines(overpriced, so skip it, get them from ranch 99 if u can), some kitchen appliances, tea cups, and preserved meat. Thank goodness no sales associate hassled us. I hate it when they pressure to buy this and that and follow u around the store. I didn't experience it here, maybe people complained. I saw a two boxes of wild ginseng for $300, but I wonder how legit they were, as I heard they are rare to find in China. Wish I had taken more pics but I was too caught up with shopping. But check this place out if you like to shop in a cleaner and spacious store that offers quality and expensive items
