I'd avoid this place. The ambiance was very good, service was spot on, but the food was a giant miss pretty much across the board.We got the beet with hummus salad to start. It tasted like you got Trader Joe's spicy hummus and dumped a can of diced beets on it.The worst bit was my wife's rigatoni with burrata. Sounded great, but execution was like an amateur rather than a high end restaurant. It came in a giant bowl of soggy pasta, flavorless tomato sauce, and some peas and asparagus segments. The burrata wasn't high quality. None of it came together. For $38, I'd expect much more.My diver scallops with mushrooms was actually not bad, but nothing special. Slightly over seasoned. But really nothing I couldn't get anywhere else in Monterrey's long list of mediocre seafood places.

Amazing restaurant here in Monterey! Fantastic atmosphere and delicious food. Excellent service! Love it! Make sure you make reservation cause this place is packed and definitely a hidden gem! Loved they could make me a personalized drink on my request and I definitely appreciated it. We will be back!
The food is excellent, though the prices are high. The one quibble I have is that the service is a bit too American: the food arrives very quickly and the plates are cleared before everyone has finished eating. When we told the waiter we weren't ordering dessert, he had the prepared bill in his hand to present to us. We purposely reserved at a late for Monterey hour of 8 PM, so that we wouldn't be rushed out.

As always a perfect dining experience.... The staff is amazing:) The tuna/scallop Crudo is out of this world! The fresh pasta dish was delicious! And let's not forget Alta bread - so delicious:) This is our favorite go-to restaurant in Monterey - consistently delicious!
From the very first moment we felt like family arriving. Every staff member greeted us with congratulations on being newly married. Service, food & of course Joshua's concoctions were all on point! And we love the romantic patio! Thank you again! Tina & Phil

Had an outstanding meal here. A relatively simple dish of roasted beets was superbly put together with spicy hummus and creamy avocado. The beef cheek and pork chop were expertly prepared. The olive oil cake was sublime. Our server Kevin was so welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive. Highly recommend!
Food was delicious and so beautifully presented. Chicken Blanquette was so tender. A comforting plateful. My hubby enjoyed The pork chop, juicy not dry. Our friends had the salmon and beef cheeks. Their empty plates illustrate how they enjoyed their meal. We ended up sharing 2servings of the olive oil cake for dessert. Most of all are hostess and staff were lovely and gracious. We returned the next day for brunch after church with our two sons, and it was a bigger hit. We think we found our new special brunch spot. I almost don't want to share this, so we can keep it our secret.

Amazing, amazing food. Absolutely everything on the menu was incredible. I can't remember the last time that everyone at the table was this impressed with all their meals. Service was excellent and honestly....the food!!!! I will definitely be back.

Cella has become one of our three favorite restaurants in the Monterey, Pebble Beach,Carmel area along with Chez Noir and Stationaery. We recommend Cella to those visiting/staying in Carmel. It is a short drive over Monterey, but worth it. The menu is flavorful and unique, service is very good.

Second time dining, two people in our group wanted to order the steak entree, one guest requested medium temperature and the "kitchen" wouldn't accommodate her request. They would only serve the steak medium rare, which was very odd to me. My husband had scallops and there was sand in his dish. Overall, just ok will be a while before we go back. The highlight for me was the olive oil cake for dessert.

This great evening started at the bar with a very knowledgeable bartender and fantastic cocktails. Then dinner was uncomparable as the food was beyond superb- octopus, crab risotto, freshest oysters and the wild salmon. Not one bad bite! And of course the bread was amazing too! Wish we had room for dessert. Can't wait to go back.
