Main course was delicious. Their rice and beans need a little bit more flavor. Great views.

The ONLY things this restaurant has going for it is the fact that they have a gorgeous view, and it's one of the only Mexican restaurants on Cannery Row. Aaaand, that's it. The servers are slow and desperately inexperienced (took two servers five minutes to figure out how enter an order with "no beans", and it still came with beans). The young hosts were two busy flirting with each other to even seat guests. Multiple people were leaving after waiting in the lobby for someone to even acknowledge them. A server walked by us carrying a massive container of salsa that had a date on it in big writing, and the date was two days ago. Was it expired? I wouldn't be surprised. We placed a to-go order for one appetizer and the burrito, and despite the fact the restaurant was less than half full, it took them an hour to get the food out. The carne asada burrito was gross. As stated above, we ordered it with no beans and it came with extra beans. The "carne asada" was disgusting. It was spongy cubes of "beef" with grill marks. It didn't taste like beef, and I'm not entirely convinced the grill marks aren't fake. And the rice was old. Honestly, this restaurant would have been a prime candidate for "Kitchen Nightmares". Do not go here. Taco Bell is better

Maria was amazing. The el Torito brunch is the best ever! The service was perfect and I have been in restaurants for 18 years. This was a memory my family will never forget.
