This is our favorite place to go when we go to Monterey. Every year we go for our Christmas present to ourselves. Abalonetti is our place. Food always good. Drinks yummy, service always great. We always fell welcome.
Abalonetti's is always one of our stops when visiting the Monterey Peninsula. We love the vibe, wharf atmosphere, welcoming staff, good food & drinks at fair prices. The wait staff are AMAZING. We have been here for a dinner for two and for four. Most recently, we had a party of 20 to celebrate my birthday. The quality of our experience was high every time! Thank you Abalonetti's for the great memories!
We arrived a bit late but we were seated promptly and we were greeted quickly thereafter by Carlos, our server. Our desire to take our time for our date night was greatly encouraged, but we soon had a fried calamari (Abalonetti style) appetizer served piping hot to our table. Our entrees were delicious and the atmosphere was warm and inviting! Outstanding service, even on a busier weeknight. There is a reason why Abalonetti is a locals' favorite! Thank you to Kevin, Carlos, Joe, Stuart, and the rest of the staff whose names we don't know!

When we booked our reservation at Abalonetti on the Old Fishermen's Wharf in Monterey, we had no idea what a great dining experience we would have. The quality of the food was outstanding, and I would wager that you can get any dish and be pleased. The service was excellent, and it was not loud at all. It was like an old-fashioned Italian restaurant with soft lighting and great music not played too loud. Go!!

The waitstaff were friendly and attentive. The prices were a bit on the high side... $10 for 6 pieces of garlic bread is excessive. The fish (with fish & chips) was overcooked and dry, the Crab Louie salad was freshly made with a good amount t of crab, however, some of the crab meat was dry and stringy.
There are great restaurants but Abalonetti is next level up. Staff is very welcoming and willing to make customers' experience something to remember. We were a group of nine, one more than booked, some arrived early, others later, and asked for table outside when they had laid one inside. No problem, they made sure we were all comfortable and quickly tended for. Drinks came quickly and food was delicious. The nine drank and ate (lunch) for little over three hundred bucks.

Great restaurant! We always return to eat there when we visit Monterey as it's one our favorites! Fabulous seafood, the swordfish was great as well as the shrimp dish we ordered. The bread is so tasty that we ordered more to take some home. The service is very attentive and friendly!

Their food is good and worth another trip. They are only open for lunch so their great pricing is for lunch service only. The food came out in a timely matter. The service was great and very helpful. I liked sitting on the boardwalk outside. They have a dinner location next to the lunch spot and those prices go along with every other place on the boardwalk.
Great experience. The food was great and so was the service. After I asked for a booth online, which they didn't have, they called me a few minutes later to ask if I'd like indoor or outdoor instead and they put us by a window near the water. It was a great experience
Abalonetti provided an exceptional dining experience for our group of 11 for our celebration of a dear friend's life. The food, service and overall gathering at the restaurant couldn't have been more enjoyable.
