What a gluten free find!!! Not only was this bakery 100% dedicated gluten free they had dairy free and vegan options. Every employee we encountered was helpful and kind. They were able to make us a dairy free breakfast sandwiches which were heavenly. The muffins were large and so moist and delicious. Cupcakes were so good it was hard to believe they were gluten free. But can I tell you about their vegan scones?! I have NEVER had a scone that wasn’t dry until I tried them here at Neces. How do they do it? When I could eat gluten I remember scones being dry lol. You will NOT be disappointed! Cannot wait to take a trip back.

Celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday at Pebble Beach and needing a gluten free cake we found Nece’s GF and will be forever dreaming of the best carrot cake (gluten free or not) we have ever tasted…devoured…enjoyed! Even the vanilla and chocolate cupcakes I added to our order were amazing! Thank you also for your amazing perfect cake decorations!

I'm a little concerned about how tasty their sandwiches and pastries are. I finally tried this place last week and I wanted to return immediately. First, I really appreciate their staff and customer service. Thank you all for being so kind and taking the time to explain how everything was truly gluten free and the ingredients in your items. I got a sandwich with their herb cheddar bread and it was the best sandwich I've had in over 10 years (since having to be gf). Let me tell you, this is not your average dinky sandwich with 2 thin slices of deli meat (looking at you Mariposa bakery), no, this is a SANDWICH. A tasty asf one. I was trying to avoid their amazing looking pastries because I'm trying to lose weight, but I heard them tell another customer there was a maple bacon scone!! I turn around and get back in line to order it. It was amazing. The scone dripped flavor. Lots of little bacon piece with a symphony of profiles- salty, sweet and savory. My partner tried it (who's not gf) and asked if I could get him one next time. He loved it. I'm lucky I work about 10 minutes away, but also temptation is now too great. When I put it on gps, Waze kept sending me across the street. Nece's is close to the grocery store, Elroy's. The storefront is small with limited seating, though there is a table outside. Then again being in Monterey county, it might be nice to take your goods on a picnic to the beach. I just ate my stuff in my car like a goblin. Prices are what I expect to pay for gluten free items, I'm used to San Francisco and Oakland prices, so it's about the same-yet more delicious. Thank you for existing, Nece's. You are now my number 1 favorite gf bakery.

Awesome gluten free bakery in Monterey. They have some dairy free and vegan options too. We got the ham & cheese roll, chocolate chip cookie, and blueberry muffin. Ham & cheese roll was large and filling. Delicious bread that didn't taste gluten free and the texture was pretty good too. Only complaint is it was undercooked and gooey in the very middle but I was full by the time I got to that part so I wasn't mad. This is a common issue with gf pastries. Blueberry muffin was the best gf muffin I've ever had. Sometimes I find blueberry pastries to be too tart but this one wasn't. Perfect sweetness level, great texture, and also large and filling. My gluten eating partner said he would never know it was gf and I agree. Chocolate chip cookie was also the best gf cookie I've ever had. They are small but so delicious. Perfect if you prefer softer cookies with lots of chocolate. The sea salt adds that extra punch of flavor. You'd also never know this was gf by the taste. We live far away but will definitely be back every time we're in Monterey from now on. I will probably get more things now that I know how good the taste is.
I ordered a chocolate peanut butter cake.it was a risk, because I’m not into peanut butter and chocolate together. However, my life has been completely transformed. Best cake I’ve ever had. It was a divine experience. The grace of God on a fork.

This place is awesome! Often gluten free options are usually just sweets but this place has all kinds of options. Their garlic Parmesan twist and Ham and cheese bun were delicious and doughy. Of course we did have to try some of their sweets and they were delicious. Can't wait to come back!

Run, do not walk here. Seriously, this is a MUST visit place. The brownies are decadent, the sugar cookie is delicious, the cinnamon roll is amazing and the ham and cheese rolls are *chefs kiss*. The star is the scone breakfast sandwich on the jalapeño scone. You do not need to be gluten free to enjoy this amazing g bakery, but if you are celiac or gluten intolerant, this is the place to come. I joke that eating GF baked goods is like eating sadness, but there is nithing but pure joy when eating here. Not only is the food delicious (not a taste of sadness), but the staff is amazing and the owner is the kindest. Nece, you have a true gift!Thank you for my first breakfast sandwich since diagnosis. I look forward to driving back down and having more of your epic treats.
